49ers owner Jed York contacted a fake prostitution service under a false name multiple times before his Sunday morning arrest at an Ohio trailer park, according to multiple reports that cited an incident record, shedding more light on the circumstances that briefly put York in jail.

York used a pseudonym when he contacted a fictitious prostitution advertisement three times, ESPN reported, citing an incident report that said York identified himself as “Joe.”
The ad was created by an undercover officer and resulted in the officer offering to meet York at a trailer park in East Palestine, Ohio.
The 49ers owner inquired about sexual services and was told full service sexual activity would cost $160, with unprotected sex costing $20 more, according to the incident report, which was also reported by the San Francisco Chronicle.
York was arrested in a sting operation at the trailer park, which he drove to in a rental car while carrying $160 in cash, according to the reports.
York pleaded no contest to charges of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools, being ordered to pay $1,150 in fines in addition to a two-day jail sentence, though one day was credited for time already served.

York’s arrest comes months after he filed for divorce from his wife, Danielle Belluomini. York and Belluomini, who are separated, married in 2011 and have two children together. York became the 49ers CEO in 2008 and was the team’s principal owner by 2024, after purchasing enough shares from his mother. The 49ers, which have lost all three of their Super Bowl appearances since York became CEO, have experienced a rocky pre-season off the field. Shanahan was involved in a head-on vehicle collision in July, suffering lacerations, fractures and a concussion. He publicly took responsibility for the incident and is recovering as he continues tending to coaching duties. The driver of the other vehicle, a 21-year-old woman, was not seriously injured.
