Binance’s stock tokenization product called bStocks has changed the tokenized equity marketplace and quickly moved up to the second position by tokenized-ETF market capitalisation. It is now about $118.5 million since its release on 10 June.
Binance bStocks is ahead of a direct competitor, xStocks, which is at $94.5 million currently per the data from Token Terminal. The tokenized ETF launch of Binance is expected to drive the development of the tokenized equities platform.
Binance Leverages Exchange Distribution Power
bStocks is offering users exposure to traditional ETFs through the blockchain infrastructure. This will provide users with blockchain-based settlement and distribution features while maintaining the advantages of centralized market access.
The fast achievement of $118.5 million by the Binance platform showcases not only its huge user base, but also the deep liquidity of the platform, as well as its wallet integration, which has become a key thing for many investors when choosing a crypto-exchange.

The rising popularity of bStocks adds pressure on other token issuers who use different blockchains – BNB Chain and Solana for e.g. – and custodians. At the same time, it draws more attention onto secondary liquidity, redemption mechanisms, and counterparty risks issues.

From the regulators’ perspective, such developments draw attention to the difficulties with enforcing laws when selling and buying securities across borders. If the current rate keeps increasing, the popularity of bStocks might surpass that of Ondo.

This will occur if Binance increases the number of permitted ETFs. Some of the important factors to keep an eye on would mainly be transparency of the collateral, licensing clarity, integration with DeFi lending as well.
