The infrastructure segment saw revenue skyrocket 121% to $7.4 billion. Additionally, the company disclosed that its remaining performance obligations hit $664 billion, representing an increase of $209 billion, which included over $30 billion in fresh AI cloud agreements.

During the quarter, Oracle deployed more than 300,000 GPUs to its AI cloud clientele. These robust figures helped alleviate investor apprehension regarding the company’s relationship with OpenAI.

Looking to the second fiscal quarter, Oracle projected revenue in the range of $20.88 billion to $21.52 billion. Management also announced expectations for fiscal 2027 revenue of no less than $90 billion, surpassing Wall Street estimates.

Adobe Declines Despite Exceeding Expectations

Adobe shares tumbled roughly 3.7% despite posting fiscal third-quarter performance that topped forecasts. Adjusted earnings of $6.13 per share exceeded predictions by $0.05, while revenue grew 13% year over year to $6.76 billion.

The company’s subscription revenue totaled $6.58 billion, and annual recurring revenue climbed to $27.5 billion. Adobe also increased its full-year profit outlook.

However, ongoing investor anxiety about artificial intelligence’s potential effects on Adobe’s core business model kept downward pressure on the shares. The stock has faced headwinds for an extended period due to these AI-related uncertainties.

For the upcoming fourth quarter, Adobe projected revenue between $6.8 billion and $6.85 billion, falling marginally short of analyst expectations at the middle of the range.

Copart to Purchase ACV Auctions

Copart reached an agreement to purchase ACV Auctions at $10.50 per share in an all-cash transaction, valuing the equity at roughly $1.9 billion. The proposal represents approximately a 45% premium over ACV’s closing price on August 10 before acquisition speculation emerged.

ACV Auctions stock soared 44% following the announcement. Copart shares advanced about 7%.

Copart intends to finance the acquisition using existing cash reserves. Both companies’ boards have authorized the transaction, which is projected to finalize by the conclusion of 2026, subject to regulatory approval.

The acquisition is anticipated to be earnings-neutral during its first complete year and become accretive beginning in fiscal 2028.

Additional Market Movers

RH shares rallied 8.2% after the luxury furniture company exceeded second-quarter earnings forecasts. Management indicated that recent brand diversification initiatives could potentially double the company’s addressable market opportunity.

Energy sector stocks such as Chevron and ExxonMobil declined as U.S. crude oil futures retreated below the $100 per barrel threshold.

Zumiez experienced a 16% share price decline after the specialty retailer disclosed a second-quarter loss larger than anticipated and reported a 2.5% decrease in revenue.
