Cardano (ADA) is showing signs of recovery as buying momentum returns after recent selling pressure. Bullish technical indicators support improving short-term sentiment, while stronger derivatives activity and expanding stablecoin liquidity add fundamental interest. ADA now faces a key test of whether the rebound can develop into a broader trend reversal.

ADA Price Rebound Puts Bulls Back in Focus

Cardano (ADA) is showing signs of a short-term recovery after facing selling pressure earlier in September. The cryptocurrency declined from a monthly high near $0.2310 to around $0.1900 on September 16, before renewed buying activity helped lift the price. The rebound has brought ADA’s broader market structure back into focus.

Crypto analyst Jesse Olson questioned whether Cardano has been unfairly written off, asking whether “Charles killed this coin” or whether market interest has temporarily shifted elsewhere.

Olson suggested that if ADA remains structurally intact, its recent weakness could represent a deep-value area. Traders are therefore watching whether the rebound develops into a sustained reversal.

ADA Weekly Chart Hints at a Reversal Toward $0.46

Olson highlighted several technical signals on ADA’s weekly chart that could indicate a potential momentum shift. These include a reversal candle, price trading above the trending dots, and the appearance of a green trending dot.

The setup suggests sellers may be losing control following the prolonged decline, although confirmation still requires sustained buying and follow-through.

The analyst also noted the possibility of a “dead cat bounce” of up to 77%, potentially pushing ADA toward $0.46. However, such a recovery would not automatically confirm a long-term bullish reversal.

Sustained higher highs and higher lows could strengthen the structure, while renewed selling pressure could invalidate the recovery attempt.

ADA Technicals Show Strong Short-Term Momentum

The four-hour ADA chart shows improving short-term momentum after ADA reached a September low near $0.1900. Several consecutive bullish candles then lifted the token toward $0.2148, while the recovery pushed price through multiple minor resistance levels.

This structure suggests buyers have regained control of immediate price action and are attempting to extend the rebound further.

Momentum indicators also reinforce the bullish trend. A bullish cross has been generated by MACD, whereas the histogram has turned positive after expanding.

On the other hand, RSI has jumped to an oversold level to reach 66.41. Even though it implies significant buying momentum, the oscillator is close to becoming overbought, which can lead to consolidation or retracement.

ADA Derivatives Activity Strengthens

The data provided by CoinGlass indicates that there is an increase in ADA trade volume. The trade volume has increased by 14.29% to reach $585.23 million, while the open interest has increased by 7.96% to reach $471.18 million.

Both increases in these figures indicate that derivative trading activity is increasing due to the new price development of Cardano.

An increase in open interest may be an indication that more money is being put into leveraging positions; however, it will be hard to determine the traders’ attitude based on open interest, as open interest doesn’t tell us whether bulls or bears dominate. In any case, the next movement in price for ADA will play a role.

Cardano Stablecoin Market Adds Fundamental Support

In addition to price movement and derivatives, the stablecoin ecosystem on Cardano has also expanded.

According to data provided by Cardanians (CRDN), the total capitalization of Cardano stablecoins is at $66.92 million. USDCx leads the market, as it makes up 76.14% of the total capitalization of Cardano stablecoins.

The rise indicates increased liquidity for stablecoins in the Cardano network and is one more way to assess activity within the network.

While the growth of capitalization of stablecoins cannot mean that there will be a surge in the price of ADA, increased liquidity may contribute to more activity, decentralized applications, and transactions on Cardano.

What Comes Next for ADA?

The current rally by the ADA price benefits from strong technical strength, higher derivatives interest, and expanding its stablecoin ecosystem. However, the question in hand is if ADA can maintain the rally after returning to the $0.2148 area.

A continuation of the buildup in momentum would bolster the building case for a reversal move, while rejection near resistance would refocus attention on the recent lows.

Currently, ADA is in a crucial technical position where traders and investors alike will be monitoring to see if this rally can turn into something more.
