NVIDIA announced planned investments in four French startups on October 13, 2026, according to a company blog post by Nat Ives. The investments target Doctolib, Entalpic, Genesis AI and Pigment, expanding NVIDIA’s commitments in France across healthcare, materials discovery, robotics and enterprise software. The announcement did not disclose investment amounts or terms.
According to the October 13 blog post, NVIDIA has previously invested in French technology companies including Alice&Bob, Gradium and Scintil Photonics. The company stated it has committed nearly $10 billion to the technology ecosystem across all of Europe, though the blog post does not break out France-specific totals or distinguish equity investments from infrastructure partnerships and non-equity support programs.
The Four Planned Investments
Doctolib is a European healthcare technology company that builds agents to support healthcare professionals and provide patients with digital health tools, according to the October 13 announcement. The company focuses on improving care access and supporting preventive medicine.
Entalpic, a Paris-based startup, accelerates the engineering of advanced materials at the atomic scale, with expertise in surfaces and interfaces for semiconductor manufacturing and next-generation electronics, the announcement stated.
Genesis AI is a global robotics company developing general-purpose robots through foundation models, data collection systems, simulation infrastructure and robot hardware, NVIDIA reported.
Pigment, a Paris-based enterprise software company, builds a planning platform that helps businesses forecast performance, model scenarios and make decisions across finance, sales, workforce and operations, according to the blog post.
Infrastructure and Deployment Activity
The October 13 announcement detailed deployment activity across France’s AI ecosystem. Bull is extending its European AI server production to NVIDIA Vera Rubin Ultra NVL72 systems, planned for 2028, with trays produced in Europe and rack integration at its Angers factory, which was inaugurated Friday, October 2, 2026, according to the blog post.
Altair-1, the first satellite in a $1 billion, 50-satellite constellation with on-board autonomous capabilities, launched in October 2026 and has reached orbit, NVIDIA reported. Integrated by Loft Orbital and built in Abu Dhabi by Orbitworks—a joint venture between Loft Orbital and Marlan Space—the satellite flies NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin edge modules running Mistral’s models for real-time Earth observation and autonomous operations.
NVIDIA Nemotron open models are in production across French organizations requiring sovereign data, the announcement stated. LINAGORA and Docaposte secured the CANUT framework agreement, making Twake.ai, built on NVIDIA Nemotron, the sole referenced sovereign digital workplace for more than 2,500 French public organizations. SBS is launching a sovereign platform enabling banks to deploy generative and agentic services within their own environments, in collaboration with NVIDIA, according to the company.
Last week, Mistral introduced under private preview Mistral Large 4 open model, with performance in cyber defense, manufacturing, finance and multimodal tasks, the blog post reported. Fondation Inria, with NVIDIA’s support, is launching a working group on open source advanced modeling and tool adoption, with findings expected in spring 2027.
Enterprise Deployments
L’Oréal is integrating NVIDIA ALCHEMI into its research workflows so scientists can explore formulation possibilities in silico and guide laboratory research, according to the October 13 announcement. The company stated that combining computational predictions with hands-on experimentation can make the discovery process up to 100 times faster than traditional methods.
Mirakl has onboarded more than 70 million products with fine-tuned and open models running on NVIDIA GPUs and inference software, cutting seller catalog onboarding to under two hours, NVIDIA reported. Omi helps brands bring accurate products into AI-generated marketing visuals at scale, combining approved 3D digital twins with open models optimized on NVIDIA for four times faster inference.
In Côte-d’Or, ThinkDeep and Akila built a digital-twin agent—powered by NVIDIA Cosmos open world models, Nemotron and Omniverse libraries—managing nearly 5,800 kilometers of roads and buildings, cutting total operating costs by 10 percent and targeting 30 percent as deployment progresses, according to the announcement. Port Sud de France runs goods processing and port security on ThinkDeep’s DeepBrain platform powered by Nemotron and Cosmos.
Bouygues Telecom and Prisme.ai launched AI Studio V2, powered by NVIDIA full-stack infrastructure, to offer all employees the ability to build their own agents securely and in a controlled environment, the blog post stated. In quantum computing, Alice & Bob has integrated the NVIDIA NVQLink platform for its superconducting cat qubits, and Quandela has been using NVQLink to build an integration between a DGX Spark system and its photonic qubits.
Market Context
As of October 13, 2026 at 16:42:16 UTC, NVIDIA traded at $226.82, up 0.22 percent in the prior 24 hours, with a market capitalization of $5,506.38 billion. On September 8, 2026, Mistral announced it raised €3 billion in Series D funding, with NVIDIA participating alongside other existing investors, according to a Mistral announcement; the total round size was disclosed but NVIDIA’s individual contribution was not. On September 3, 2026, NVIDIA announced an agreement to acquire Hugging Face for $12.9303 billion; that announcement disclosed the agreement but not that the transaction has closed.
The October 13 blog post noted that NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang is scheduled to deliver a GTC Berlin keynote on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 11 a.m. CEST.
