XRP withdrawals below 10,000 tokens surged 6.6-fold on Binance, while reserves across three major exchanges increased by 120 million.

XRP withdrawal activity on Binance has changed quite a bit over the past few weeks. Between September 30 and October 20, withdrawals below 10,000 XRP grew from just 3% to 19.7% of total outflow value.

This figure represents a 6.6-fold increase and the highest level since October 2024.

A Shift in XRP Exchange Activity

At the other end, transfers above 1 million XRP lost ground. Their share of Binance outflows fell from 60% to 38.6%, according to CryptoQuant. Transfers between 100,000 and 1 million XRP moved in the opposite direction, as the figures rose from around 24% to 27%. Even with that shift, larger transfers still make up most of the activity.

Outflows above 100,000 units accounted for 65.7% of Binance’s total XRP outflow value. Coinbase also saw a sharp drop in its largest withdrawal category. The share of outflows involving more than 1 million units fell from 43% on September 30 to 12.5% on October 20, which is a 70.9% decline in relative terms.

But the change in withdrawal sizes is only part of the picture. XRP reserves have also been rising across three major exchanges. Between October 5 and October 20, Binance holdings increased from 2.60 billion to 2.66 billion. Upbit reserves climbed from 6.41 billion to 6.45 billion, while Bithumb went from 1.82 billion to 1.84 billion XRP.

The three exchanges added 120 million XRP, bringing their combined reserves to 10.95 billion tokens from 10.83 billion. Binance accounted for half of the increase.

“Together, the figures highlight a shift in the relative shares of smaller versus larger XRP withdrawals, alongside a renewed increase in exchange reserves. October 20 readings remain subject to final daily confirmation.”

Analysts Hold On to Bullish Bets

XRP has lost more than 5% in the last seven days amid broader market turbulence. Spot ETFs providing exposure to the crypto asset are also feeling the heat. The funds recorded zero net flows on Monday after ending the previous week with $1.84 million in withdrawals.

Not everyone has given up on XRP. Vincent Van Code is seeing the market turbulence differently. He believes the past week’s sell-offs were part of a wider crypto shakeout that pushed weaker investors out. According to him, long positions were wiped out, short sellers jumped in, and those bets were then liquidated too. He expects fresh all-time highs across the market in the coming weeks, followed by a slower, steadier bull run.

Another analyst, EGRAG CRYPTO, is also sticking to his bullish outlook and said that the token could reach $7 to $9 at the cycle top, well above its 2025 peak of $3.65.
