- Dan Gambardello mapped an ADA price prediction near $2.60 if Cardano revisits its previous market-cap peak.
- ADA remained near $0.20 after weakening through much of August.
- Cardano still counts more than 4.5 million holders despite weaker network activity.
An ADA price prediction from crypto analyst Dan Gambardello placed Cardano near $2.60 under a return-to-peak market-cap scenario.
The target sits far above ADA’s current market price near $0.20. That makes the outlook dependent on a major shift in both crypto-market sentiment and Cardano demand.
Network data adds another source of caution. Cardano retains more than 4.5 million holders, but decentralized finance liquidity and broader activity remain weak.
ADA Price Prediction Links $2.60 to Market Cap Recovery
Gambardello based his longer-term Cardano outlook on market capitalization rather than simply targeting ADA’s previous price record.

That distinction matters because Cardano’s circulating supply has increased since its previous cycle peak.
A return to the same market capitalization would therefore produce a lower token price than during the prior cycle.
The analyst placed that theoretical level around $2.60.
At an ADA price near $0.20, a move to $2.60 would require an advance of roughly 1,200%.
That makes the target a long-term scenario rather than an immediate technical projection.
Gambardello also argued that Cardano has historically performed poorly during crypto bear markets before recovering sharply during stronger market phases.
Past cycle behavior does not guarantee another similar move.
Cardano would first have to reverse its broader downtrend and attract stronger network and market demand.
ADA Price Ends Bearish Steak But Can It Bounce Back?
ADA price underperformance was very evident since the second week of August. The cryptocurrency just completed a 10-day streak of daily red candles from 7 August to 17 August.
The Cardano price hovered at $1.174 at press time, which was a 17% discount from its highest price point so far this month.

Despite its latest retreat, ADA price has been forming a pattern worth noting over the last 2 months. While the cryptocurrency has been on an overall downtrend for months, it has recently entered into an ascending channel after bottoming out in June.
This may indicate that the overall momentum is shifting in favor of accumulation and long-term recovery. However, there was no clear sign of robust accumulation especially after the latest wave of sell pressure leveled out.
ADA price action so far aligns with Gambardello’s statement about underperformance during bear markets. A glass half full perspective may also mean ADA crypto remains one of the most undervalued top coins.
Network Performance Reflects Weak Demand
For most top cryptocurrencies, especially those belonging to major blockchains, network performance aligns with organic demand. The same goes for Cardano whose network activity has been on a steady decline for months.
One of the key metrics perpetuating that idea was the Cardano address activity. For context, active address activity peaked at 3.6 million addresses in November 2021. It has since cooled to 189,900 active addresses as per the latest data.

Network activity aligns with other key metrics, such as TVL, which has been in a steady downtrend for months. In fact, TVL has cooled to levels last seen in late 2022.
Despite cooling Cardano network activity and price action, ADA token holder data still offered some confidence.
ADA currently has more token holders than ever before. Cardano token holders currently surpass 4.5 million.

The fact that Cardano currently has the highest number of ADA holders than ever before is a testament. It means holders still maintain a long-term outlook even though ADA price has heavily underperformed for months.
In conclusion, the Cardano price predictions still project long term recovery, and holders remain optimistic despite short-term underperformance. It will be interesting to see whether ADA price will bounce back strongly once the market enters the next bull market.
