AEW Dynamite Results For Sept. 2, 2026

• Justin Roberts introduces the new AEW World Champion, Will Ospreay, who comes to the ring. Ospreay says he’s “been on a bender” since Sunday celebrating his win. He says All In was amazing, thanks everyone who has been with him on his journey from the beginning and thanks everyone else for their support.

  Ospreay says Kenny Omega has been the best wrestler in the world for the last 10 years and still is. Ospreay says Omega is better than him 364 days of the year, except for that one day. Ospreay says they’re now tied at 2-2 as the crowd chants for one more match. He says he’s satisfied with that record, but if Omega isn’t, he can name a time and place to settle the score.

  Ospreay starts naming past AEW World Champions, some of whom he says were his heroes. He says the reality is that he’s now among all of them, and all of his idols are his rivals.

  Ospreay questions his confidence but realizes he’s now the standard in AEW.

  Ospreay shouts out the United Empire and thanks them for helping him succeed. He says while there’s a United Empire in Japan, he’s going to bring the United Empire to AEW.

  As Ospreay readies to leave, Ricochet, Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun interrupt. Ricochet says Ospreay knows they have unfinished business and that they’re forever intertwined. He also congratulates Ospreay and Omega on their match.

  Ricochet understands the fans don’t give him credit, but says Ospreay knows him better than they do. Ricochet says Ospreay would not have been in the All In main event without him, and he demands the first shot at the title.

  Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors interrupt, and Kidd says Ospreay took away his chances to become the first British IWGP Heavyweight Champion and AEW World Champion. Ricochet and Kidd trade words until they align and head to the ring to target Ospreay, but United Empire runs down to make the save. Ospreay says they can meet in the main event in a tag team match.

• AEW World Trios Championship Match
  Swerve Strickland and The New Level (Austin Creed and Kofi) (c) def. The Rascalz (Desmond Xavier, Myron Reed and Zachary Wentz) by pinfall to retain the titles. This was The New Level’s AEW Dynamite debut.

  After the match, The Young Bucks walk onto the stage and go face-to-face with The New Level as they head to the ring for their own segment.

• Matt Jackson says they won’t complain about being cheated because they’ve done worse, but he questions why Adam Copeland and Christian Cage would defeat them that way and calls them down to the ring.

  FTR and Stokely Hathaway come out instead. Hathaway says Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood are the only ones who matter and questions how The Young Bucks could target the tag titles again.

  Harwood calls out the Jacksons for continuously losing big matches and says FTR will instead become the new champions. Nick Jackson says they’ve never said “I quit” like FTR has.

  Cage and Copeland interrupt and walk onto the stage. Cage says it doesn’t matter how you win because people only ask who won. He says despite being the old guys, they’ve defeated FTR and The Young Bucks. He says he’s surprised those teams aren’t embarrassed enough to take a 50 percent pay cut to go somewhere else.

  Copeland says he’s not pleased with the result at All In, and there’s a way to make things right. He says that at All Out, there will be a three-way match between the teams, and it may just involve chairs, ladders and tables.

• Backstage, Callum Newman says he has a guy for their match in the main event, and Andrade El Idolo steps through the doors to greet United Empire and Will Ospreay.
• TNT Championship Match
  Darby Allin (c) def. Mark Davis by pinfall to retain the title. After the match, Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero attack Allin until Steven Borden makes the save and stares down Davis. Josh Alexander returns from injury and attacks Borden from behind as the heels stand tall.
• A video from Sunday night plays of MJF being upset about losing the Casino Gauntlet. He says he would’ve won the match to face the “fake champion.” MJF says Will Ospreay is what’s wrong with his life and goes into a rage about losing to Kenny Omega at Beach Break. MJF says he’s the most important person in AEW and that there will be payback for Ospreay, which he won’t see coming.
• Megan Bayne def. Alex Windsor by pinfall.
• A video recaps Chris Jericho’s role in the Casino Gauntlet match.
  Backstage, Jericho says he didn’t win or lose the Casino Gauntlet since Nick Wayne got pinned. Wayne approaches Jericho and says he owned that ring on Sunday and took Jericho out of the match. Jericho says Wayne is one of the best young wrestlers he’s seen, but he’s still only 21. Wayne slaps Jericho, and they start fighting until Wayne kicks him in the groin.
• New AEW Women’s World Champion Mercedes Moné comes to the ring to celebrate her title win. She says she hasn’t stopped smiling since All In. She says she wanted to be in AEW because it’s where the women’s revolution could be globalized.

  Moné says she took a bet, and the title is what happens when you stop asking permission to be great. She says no man or woman had won a world title in four major companies until her.

  Moné says she had to leave Willow Nightingale behind to get here. She calls Nightingale self-centered and an egomaniac. Moné takes off her headdress to reveal facial bruising from the broken nose she suffered against Nightingale.

  Moné thanks Nightingale for pushing her toward her destiny. She says she took Nightingale’s smile and her title, and everyone is now standing in her presence.

  Moné says what she wants for the world title doesn’t even exist yet. Thekla appears in the crowd and says she’s here to celebrate. She says she genuinely likes Moné, but for all her accolades, Moné has never been toxic.

  Thekla thanks Moné for what she did to Nightingale but says she sees Moné loves swinging that title, and no one swings it bigger than Thekla. She cheers to Moné, chugs her drink and tells her to let her know when she wants to give her the title.

• Backstage, Britt Baker says she’s not here for a gamble but a guarantee after two years away. She says Persephone will take what’s hers. Persephone says Baker laid the foundation, and while they don’t need each other, they’ll help each other.
• AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match
  Jon Moxley (c) def. AR Fox by pinfall.
• Backstage, Kevin Knight gets mad about Sting and his family costing him his TNT Championship match and calls Kyle Fletcher a flamingo, leading to the two yelling at each other. Don Callis says Fletcher and Knight will team to face Ace Austin and Juice Robinson on Collision.
• Will Ospreay, Andrade El Idolo, Callum Newman, Francesco Akira and Henare def. The Dogs (Clark Connors and Gabe Kidd) and The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) by pinfall. After the match, both teams brawl at ringside.
• As Kidd goes to hit Ospreay with a chair, The Death Riders march to the ring, and Jon Moxley stops Kidd from using it. The two argue in the ring, and when Kidd tries again, Moxley stops him once more. El Idolo then goes after Kidd, and they brawl around ringside.
• Moxley helps Ospreay up, and they both look at the video board to see their AEW World Championship match made official for All Out.
