After a successful inaugural edition in Kigali, Rwanda — which drew over 2,000 attendees, featured 60+ speakers — ABF is scaling up and heading to East Africa’s technology capital.

ABF 2026 runs October 15–17 at the Sarit Expo Centre, Nairobi, Kenya. The theme is “Capital, Code, and Continuity: Building Africa’s Permanent Digital Economy.”

Three Days. Three Pillars.

Day 1 — Capital (October 15) The first day centres on investment, venture capital, fintech, and the flow of capital across African digital rails. Startup pitch competition qualifying rounds run alongside investor panels and fireside conversations between founders and fund managers. The exhibition floor opens with 50+ booths. A networking reception closes the day.

Day 2 — Code (October 16) Day 2 belongs to the builders. Technical keynotes, breakout workshops on smart contract development, layer-2 scaling, AI and blockchain integration, and real-world asset tokenisation. The Startup Pitch Competition finals take place on the main stage. The day closes with the invite-only Speaker and Investor Dinner.

Day 3 — Continuity (October 17) The third day takes 150–200 VIP guests off-site into Nairobi. Morning: a 7-a-side football tournament followed by a curated city experience including the Nairobi National Park and Giraffe Centre. Evening: the invite-only Closing Ceremony Dinner, where the ABF 2027 host city will be announced.

Why Nairobi

Kenya leads the world in mobile money penetration. Nairobi’s startup ecosystem has produced four unicorns in the last decade. The Kenyan government is among the most progressive on the continent on digital assets regulation. ABF2026 in Nairobi is a statement about where the centre of gravity of Africa’s digital economy is moving.

What ABF 2025 Produced

The inaugural festival welcomed more than 2,000 attendees across three days at the Kigali Convention Centre, with more than 60 speakers delivering keynotes, panel discussions and workshops. More than 30 companies exhibited, over 20 countries were represented, and Binance served as title sponsor.

The conversations in Kigali produced partnerships, seed rounds, and collaborations that are still running. Rwanda’s virtual assets bill passed in the months that followed.
