The Wall Street Journal reported the talks on Sunday. A deal could come together soon, assuming talks do not fall apart or another bidder shows up.

Nothing is final yet. Israeli outlet Calcalist reported earlier this month that Decart was in advanced talks to be sold to a major technology company.

Decart was valued at nearly $4 billion in May. A price near $7 billion would be a big jump in just five months.

What Decart Brings to Amazon

Decart’s software makes it easier for developers to switch between different AI chips. That matters as companies race to secure more computing power.

Amazon builds its own AI chip, Trainium3, to compete with Nvidia. Nvidia (NVDA) still dominates the market for the graphics chips behind the AI boom.

Amazon Web Services gave Decart early access to Trainium3 in 2025. The move came after Amazon met the founders and liked what it saw, the Journal has reported.

Decart is also building world models called Lucy and Oasis. These can generate and simulate real-world 3-D environments, with possible uses in robotics and autonomous driving.

The startup was founded in 2023 by Israeli engineers Dean and Orian Leitersdorf and Moshe Shalev. Not bad for a company that is only three years old.

Decart has raised more than $400 million from investors including Sequoia Capital, Benchmark and Radical Ventures. The figure comes from PitchBook.

Amazon’s Deal History

Amazon has written big checks before. It paid $6.5 billion for the MGM studio in 2022.

It also agreed to a roughly $11 billion deal for Starlink rival Globalstar earlier this year. A Decart purchase would fall between those two in size.

Last week, Needham analyst Laura Martin reiterated a Buy rating on Amazon with a $300 price target, about 15% upside. She said fears about AI shopping agents hurting Amazon’s e-commerce business may be overstated.

On TipRanks, AMZN has a Strong Buy consensus based on 41 Buys and two Holds. The average price target of $332.35 implies 26.64% upside, and the stock is up 19.25% so far this year.

AMZN Chart Analysis

On the daily chart, AMZN is trading inside a rising channel that has held since late 2025. The stock bounced off the lower channel line near $247 in early October and has climbed back above the $247 to $259 support zone.

RSI is at 59, up from the mid 40s and still below overbought levels. MACD has crossed above its signal line, with the histogram at 1.43, which points to improving momentum. Resistance sits near $275 at the channel midline, then at the August high near $286.

What to watch: a close below $247 would break the channel and could open the door to $225, while holding above $259 keeps the uptrend structure intact.
