What the filing shows
Anthropic reported $16.3 billion in revenue for the first half of 2026. It also posted a net loss of $80.7 billion over the same six months.
The company held $112.4 billion in cash and equivalents as of June 30. It also had $19.3 billion in short-term investments.
Anthropic said it expects infrastructure spending to rise sharply. It noted that this could put pressure on future cash flows.
Enterprise demand has grown quickly. By Sept. 30, more than 1,900 customers had generated at least $1 million in trailing annual revenue.
About 250 of those customers generated more than $10 million. The company makes the AI assistant Claude.
The share count and price range have not been disclosed. Earlier reports said Anthropic could raise up to $100 billion at a $2 trillion valuation.
The Financial Times reported that investors expect a valuation between $1.5 trillion and $1.75 trillion. Fox Business reporter Liz Claman said a Nov. 19 or 20 pricing remains on track.
Anthropic was founded in 2021 by former executives of OpenAI. Dario Amodei is its co-founder and CEO.
OpenAI has delayed its own IPO plans. CEO Sam Altman reportedly said in September that 2026 was an “ill-advised moment” to go public.
In its filing, Anthropic called AI “one of the most consequential technologies in human history.” It said that if managed well, the technology could speed up scientific work and bring cures for major diseases within reach.
The risk factors section carries a warning. It says advanced AI systems could pose catastrophic or existential risks if misused or left without proper safeguards.
