Avalanche has integrated COTI’s Privacy-on-Demand service and the Privacy Portal, introducing encrypted token transfers into the Avalanche Network itself.
Launched on September 16, 2026, this innovation enables users to privately store, send, and receive supported assets within the Avalanche Network.

This move comes amidst the efforts to build its blockchain platform for privacy, tokenization, and institutional uses. The COTI technology is being presented at Avalanche Summit 2026 in New York City from September 16th to 17th.

COTI Brings Privacy Technology to Avalanche
The COTI solution enables the processing of confidential information by blockchain-based applications, with the transaction information remaining encrypted.
The encryption is made possible through the use of Multi-Party Computation that utilizes Garbled Circuits cryptography to allow the computations to be made without revealing the actual transaction information. Transaction input is done off-chain, and the output is provided in an encrypted manner.
The user’s client is able to decrypt the information locally. In other words, the actual transaction value never needs to be seen on the blockchain.
According to COTI, its Garbled Circuits system is 3,000 times more efficient and 250 times lighter than other privacy systems.
What makes the system unique is the ability to introduce privacy into current blockchain projects without transferring assets to another privacy network.
Avalanche Users Can Privately Move AVAX and USDC
The accompanying Privacy Portal is created in such a way that this technology becomes more accessible to those who do not possess any technical knowledge about cryptography.
A user has the ability to employ one-click shields and unshields to bring funds into the privacy zone and out of it. This portal allows users of Avalanche to enjoy private transactions with two popular assets, namely, AVAX and USDC. Fees for transactions are paid in AVAX.
The simplicity of the user interface would also serve to mitigate some of the technical difficulties that exist in using any privacy technology for blockchains.
For developers and businesspeople, the platform might represent an additional choice where there is a need to protect the privacy of transaction details in a public blockchain network.
COTI Expands Its Multi-Chain Privacy Strategy
This release is one of the steps COTI aims to undertake for deploying its privacy architecture across multiple blockchain platforms.
COTI released its original Privacy Portal within its ecosystem back in early 2026. COTI is currently expanding its architecture into other ecosystems; Avalanche is the first cross-chain deployment.
This architecture is intended to operate within EVM-compatible blockchains. It could allow developers to implement privacy capabilities within existing applications without having to rewrite them from scratch.
Some of COTI’s documentation is still pointing to the company’s Fuji testnet, proving that certain development efforts are ongoing despite the full launch.
Moreover, the upgrade will enable COTI to test the infrastructure for the preservation of privacy within a broader blockchain space.
Janus Henderson Becomes Avalanche Validator
The launch of COTI is accompanied by yet another important event concerning Avalanche.
Janus Henderson, an international asset management company with assets worth approximately $500 billion, joined the list of the network validators of the company. The company will participate in securing the platform and increasing its activities within the area of tokenized finance and onchain credit.

Thus, the company will be directly involved in infrastructure building of the Avalanche network.
In addition, the asset manager also takes part in Tranched, which is a credit platform targeting onchain markets. The company has an equity investment in Tranched and will be anchoring the issuance activities of the platform.
As per the announcement, Tranched has approximately $300 million under management in onchain assets and over $3 billion in active deal pipeline.
Privacy and Institutional Finance Expand on Avalanche
The two developments represent growth in separate areas for Avalanche. COTI is concerned with privacy infrastructure by offering a means of executing encrypted transactions to the user and application. Janus Henderson is involved in direct operations of the network as well as helping to develop onchain credit markets.
Both developments demonstrate that there is a need for public blockchain infrastructure to fit the requirements of financial institutions.
Institutions demand confidentiality with respect to transaction size and financial activity, while a public blockchain ensures transparency with respect to transactions. Confidentiality technology, such as COTI, tries to solve this problem by ensuring that sensitive data remains encrypted and the blockchain application continues working.
Meanwhile, institutional involvement as a validator of the network is yet another way to link the world of traditional finance with blockchain technology.
Regarding Avalanche, COTI’s privacy technology and the validator of Janus Henderson bring about some additional features in a system that becomes more and more oriented towards finance.
For COTI, the debut of Avalanche is a very significant moment in achieving its goal of making its privacy technology work on various blockchains.
The next phase in development will be defined by the adoption by developers and users once COTI makes Privacy-on-Demand work on other platforms as well.
