Basis Cash (BAC) is a cryptocurrency that is part of the Basis Cash protocol.

Basis Cash is designed to be a decentralized stablecoin project that aims to provide a stable value of one US dollar (USD) by algorithmically adjusting its supply.

Basis Cash (BAC)

Basis Cash seeks to maintain a stable value by algorithmically adjusting its token supply based on changes in demand. When the price of BAC exceeds $1, new tokens are minted, increasing the supply. When the price falls below $1, tokens are burned, reducing the supply.

It also employs a three-token system to achieve its stability. BAC is the stablecoin, Bond (BOND) tokens are auctioned to decrease supply when the price is above $1, and Share (SHARE) tokens are issued to holders of BAC when the price is below $1.

Like other decentralized finance (DeFi) projects, Basis Cash operates on a decentralized governance model where token holders can participate in making decisions about the protocol.

Users can provide liquidity to BAC trading pairs on decentralized exchanges to earn fees and incentives, but there are also risks involved, particularly when the price of BAC fluctuates.
