As part of its commitment to ensuring the safety of its users, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, has announced plans to remove some tokens from its wide list of crypto assets.
In a recent announcement shared earlier today, the exchange announced that it will delist Epic Chain (EPIC) and QuickSwap (QUICK) following its latest review of the two cryptocurrencies.
Binance releases delisting date
According to the announcement, Binance revealed that it will stop spot trading for all trading pairs involving both EPIC and QUICK on October 28, 2026.
Once trading ends on the stated date, the exchange has warned that it will automatically cancel all outstanding orders for the affected pairs.
While this is not the first time Binance has announced the removal of an asset from its exchange, it explained that it regularly reviews listed cryptocurrencies to ensure they continue to meet its standards and ensure safety for users.
As such, the move comes as a regular practice for Binance after it carefully observed the supply dynamics, regulatory compliance, liquidity, and other major factors regarding the cryptocurrencies.
Why remove QUICK and EPIC
Although Binance has stated some of the reasons behind its frequent decisions to remove certain assets from its trading platform, the exchange did not specify which particular factors led to the decision to delist EPIC and QUICK.
Nonetheless, the exchange has mentioned that it will also halt several other Binance services supporting EPIC and QUICK by the end of the month, urging traders to start removing their assets before the specified date.
