BTC’s push toward $87,000 has run into sellers again. Bitcoin is trading at $85,500 after reaching as high as $87,000, which moves its price prediction bullish. The key question now is whether this is a routine rejection or evidence that the rally needs to reset before another attempt.

Bitcoin briefly climbed within $500 of its late-September peak near $87,400, then reversed below $86,000. It is the second rally in a week to stall near that zone; last Wednesday’s move to $85,500 also faded within hours.

This mix leaves BTC with short-term momentum, but no confirmed breakout. ETF demand and upcoming U.S. inflation data could shift the balance; first, prices need to show that buyers can absorb supply overhead.

Bitcoin Price Prediction: Can BTC Reclaim $87,000 This Week?

Bitcoin’s latest rejection puts the $86,000–$87,000 band back in focus. A sustained daily close above $87,000 would be an initial sign that buyers are gaining ground; $88,000 remains the more consequential breakout threshold. The current price of $85,500 is below both levels, so the rally is not confirmed.

Trading volume is estimated at about $22 billion over 24 hours, with the market cap slowly climbing near $1.72 trillion. These figures show substantial activity, but volume alone does not establish that resistance has been cleared. Near-term support sits around $82,000, with the $84,000 area also part of the recent range. A Bitcoin price outlook likewise frames resistance and catalysts as conditions for an extension.

The scenarios are relatively clear. Bull case: BTC reclaims $87,000 and closes above $88,000, strengthening the breakout signal. Base case: price remains range-bound between roughly $82,000 and $87,000 as traders wait for macro data. Bear case: another rejection sends BTC toward $84,000 or $82,000; a loss of support would weaken the recovery thesis.

The October 14 U.S. CPI release matters because hotter inflation could lift rate expectations and pressure risk assets, while a softer reading could give buyers room. What would turn a test into a breakout? A daily close, not another intraday spike.

Bitcoin Hyper Targets Early Mover Upside as Bitcoin Tests Key Levels

Bitcoin has not lost its broader market relevance, but repeated failures near resistance temper the near-term upside. At a market capitalization of around $1.72 trillion, even a strong BTC advance may offer less percentage upside than an early-stage project.

Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) is a Bitcoin Layer 2 project combining the Solana Virtual Machine with Bitcoin-focused infrastructure. It aims to bring faster, lower-cost smart contracts to the Bitcoin ecosystem while preserving Bitcoin’s security and trust.

The project is the first Bitcoin Layer 2 with SVM integration, and lists a decentralized canonical bridge for BTC transfers alongside low-latency transaction processing.

The current presale price is $0.0136872, with $33.1 million raised. Staking at a high 30% APY, only for early buyers.

Research Bitcoin Hyper and review its terms and technical claims before the presale ends.
