Bitget will restore withdrawals in phases from September 28, with BTC first and full services scheduled by October 2.
Crypto exchange Bitget prepares to restore withdrawals on September 28 following a security incident that prompted a temporary suspension. Bitcoin withdrawals will return first, with ETH and USDT following over the next two days. Security checks remain underway as the exchange prepares to restore services in stages.
Bitcoin Withdrawals Return First as Bitget Restores Services in Stages
In a recent post, Bitget stated that it has identified and fixed the vulnerability linked to the September 24 incident. Its security and technical teams are conducting additional checks across withdrawal systems before services resume.
According to the exchange, the temporary withdrawal pause remains a security measure rather than an issue of customer asset availability. User account balances remain unaffected, while the company’s Protection Fund will cover the financial impact of the platform-wide incident.

Bitcoin withdrawals will resume at 08:00 UTC on September 28 through the Bitcoin network. Meanwhile, ETH withdrawals are scheduled to follow at 08:00 UTC on September 29 across Ethereum, BSC, Arbitrum, Base, and Optimism. USDT withdrawals will resume at 08:00 UTC on September 30 through Ethereum, BSC, Solana, and Tron.
Remaining tokens, alongside fiat withdrawals and P2P services, are scheduled to return at 08:00 UTC on October 2.
Bitget said the phased approach will apply consistently across users without preferential access. Its stated goal is to restore withdrawals across supported assets and networks as quickly and safely as possible.
Bitget Says User Balances Remain Unaffected
Trading and deposits continue to operate during the withdrawal pause, while users do not need to take any action before services return. Withdrawal availability will appear directly on Bitget as each phase of the schedule takes effect.
Furthermore, the crypto exchange stated that the incident remains contained and that no further unauthorized transfers are possible. Its stated goal is to restore withdrawals across all supported assets and networks as quickly and safely as possible.
Users have been advised to follow Bitget’s official communication channels for updates as the withdrawal schedule progresses.
CEO Gracy Chen will also host a live AMA at 07:30 UTC on September 28, shortly before Bitcoin withdrawals are scheduled to resume. Full withdrawal access is expected to return gradually through October 2, subject to the platform’s ongoing security checks.
