This Wednesday, October 7, digital asset custodian BitGo Bank & Trust enabled its Lido ETH staking service for eligible institutional clients in the United States. Following the successful rollout of this solution across Europe and Asia in mid-2025, the company is now extending to U.S. entities the ability to stake their funds on the network, custody the corresponding liquid staking tokens (stETH), and manage redemptions directly from their standard infrastructure.
This integration substantially reduces operational and regulatory friction for North American institutional capital. By combining qualified custody with the ecosystem’s largest decentralized liquid staking protocol, firms can earn native yields on Ethereum without the operational complexity of running their own validator nodes or moving assets outside a secure environment.
The adoption of this mechanism marks a strategic milestone toward the maturation of decentralized financial services across key jurisdictions. Going forward, the market will monitor the net capital inflows BitGo attracts under this framework and the potential rollout of complementary features designed to support corporate treasuries.
