Key Insights:

  • Bitwise Adds HYPE: Bitwise ETF clients bought more than $5 million in Hyperliquid crypto over the past week.
  • ETF Inflows return as HYPE ETFs recorded fresh inflows in recent sessions, lifting total net inflows to $283.56 million.
  • Revenue slowed as Hyperliquid revenue fell from $70.92 million in June to $47.58 million in July.

Hyperliquid crypto is drawing fresh attention after Bitwise clients bought more than $5 million worth of HYPE in one week, while ETF data shows renewed inflows after several days of mixed activity. The buying comes as Hyperliquid revenue remains strong, but recent monthly figures do raise questions.

Bitwise Buying Puts Hyperliquid Crypto Back In Focus

Bitwise has not sold any HYPE since last month and has only bought the token in August, according to Arkham data shared on X. Its ETF clients bought more than $5 million of HYPE over the past week. That buying matters because ETF flows can bring new demand without relying only on existing traders in the spot market.

The move also comes as HYPE trades around $54.52 according to SoSoValue data. Bitwise held about $109.52 million in HYPE ETF net assets on August 11, while the total net assets across the listed HYPE spot ETFs stood at $259.19 million.

For Hyperliquid crypto, the key question is whether this buying continues. A single week of purchases does not confirm a lasting trend, but continued buying would give HYPE another source of demand. If the inflow holds through August, traders could pay closer attention to whether the added ETF demand supports the token price.

HYPE ETF Flows Show New Money Returning

HYPE ETF market has seen uneven daily flows, but recent figures show that money is still entering the products. SoSoValue recorded $2.74 million of net inflow on August 10 and $2.84 million on August 6. August 5 added another $966,690. August 11, however, showed no net inflow.

Cumulative net inflows reached $283.56 million by August 11, while total HYPE ETF trading value stood at $5.72 million. The figures suggest that interest has not disappeared despite the recent daily swings.

The wider trend is more important than any single session. July included several days of outflows, including $8.78 million on July 29 and $6.89 million on July 24. Since then, the flow picture has improved, although the data does not yet show a steady daily buying streak.

That leaves the next price move tied partly to whether fresh ETF demand can keep coming. If Bitwise clients continue buying and other funds see similar demand, HYPE could receive stronger support. If flows fade again, the market may need other reasons to push the price higher.

Hyperliquid Revenue Remains Strong, But Growth Is Slowing

Hyperliquid crypto has crossed $830 million in lifetime revenue, according to the figures shared in the post. However, the monthly numbers tell a less positive story. June revenue reached $70.92 million, the strongest month on record, before falling to $47.58 million in July, a 33% monthly decline.

August is running at about $12 million through its first ten days, according to the same data. That pace points to another weaker month if the current level continues. So, while the lifetime revenue figure shows how much the network has earned, the monthly figures give a clearer view of its recent performance.

Most of the revenue has also come from Hypercore, Hyperliquid’s trading engine. The post puts Hypercore revenue at about $788 million, compared with roughly $13 million from HyperEVM, apps and the wider ecosystem. That means the platform remains heavily dependent on trading activity.

For Hyperliquid crypto, this is important for price because strong revenue can support the case for a useful and profitable network, but falling monthly revenue could limit that support. HYPE therefore has two forces to watch: renewed ETF buying and whether network revenue can stop declining. Continued capital inflows alongside stronger activity would give the price a firmer base.
