What to know:
- The Aptos price trades at $0.6132 as a bearish pennant signals further downside risks ahead.
- APT futures volume rises 8.15%, while open interest declines 2.66% to $73.52 million.
- AIP-146 and DecibelTrade expand Aptos infrastructure despite continued price weakness.

Aptos price faces fresh bearish pressure on Friday after the formation of a pennant pattern as a result of a strong sell-off. Buyers have struggled to reverse the broader downtrend amid upgrades to its ecosystem, and trading infrastructure continues across the network during consolidation.
At the time of writing, Aptos (APT) is changing hands at $0.6132, showing a decline of 2.14% in the past 24 hours.
CoinMarketCap data shows that the 24-hour trading volume stands at $36.55 million, with a market capitalization of $518.39 million. The token has gained 0.27% over the last seven days.

Will Aptos Price Break Below Pennant Support?
Analyst Crypto With Gopal noted that Aptos price has created a bearish pennant formation following a steep fall in prices. This kind of continuation pattern is created whenever the consolidation occurs before the further directional move.
The Aptos price is contracting inside the pennant due to reduced volatility. The bulls have not shown enough strength to trigger any kind of reversal in the downward move. The declining lower trendline is important for the sellers.

A break below this area could trigger selling momentum towards the next support level. However, any upward breach above the resistance along with volume would invalidate the bearish pattern.
Volume Rises While Open Interest Declines
According to CoinGlass data, the APT future trading volume has increased by 8.15% to $71.14 million. However, open interest has fallen by 2.66% to $73.52 million. The OI-weighted funding rate stood positive at 0.0062%, indicating that long-position holders were paying short traders.
How RSI and MACD Show Improving APT Momentum
According to TradingView data, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) stood at 46.80, with its moving average recorded at 43.88. RSI remains below 50, which is an indication that buying momentum has not gained full momentum, but it has improved since its position is above the moving average.
The MACD line is recorded at -0.010 and is above the signal line at -0.014, while the histogram remains positive at 0.004. This is an indication that bearish momentum has weakened as the two lines were approaching the zero level.
What AIP-146 and DecibelTrade Bring to the Aptos Network
Price weakness has not weakened the development of the Aptos ecosystem. AIP-146 has been recently introduced by the Aptos Foundation, where it would allow unlocked staked APT tokens to unlock more transaction limits for challenging workloads.
These workloads include liquidations, complicated decentralized finance applications, and on-chain risk management. The proposal seeks to give developers more capacity to create entirely onchain financial markets without depending on any offchain infrastructures.
The new update would target high-end financial functions that require more execution capacity, and its purpose is not just increased transaction speed.
Development is also ongoing using DecibelTrade, which is a completely on-chain trading platform that is built on Aptos.
The service highlights a clear and visible settlement process and trading activities during the day. Aptos also introduced DecibelTrade’s “First Trade on Us” campaign following the platform’s launch.
