Cardano (ADA) price is flashing a technical warning. Analyst Ali Martinez a.k.a Ali Charts notes that ADA’s SuperTrend indicator has flipped bearish while large whale holdings have remained flat, leaving the token testing a critical support zone near $0.21.
SuperTrend Flips After Earlier Pattern That Led to a 46% Drop
The daily chart shows Cardano’s (ADA) SuperTrend turning negative. The last comparable signal appeared on May 22 and was followed by a 46% correction.
While history does not have to repeat, the alignment of the indicator with recent price action has drawn attention.
ADA currently trades near $0.217, sitting just above the lower boundary of its rising channel. A sustained Cardano price daily close below $0.21 would confirm a breakdown and open the path toward $0.17, according to the analysis.
Whale Holdings Stay Flat Amid the Warning
Crypto whale wallets holding between 100 million and 1 billion ADA have shown little net change over the past 10 days. Historically, shifts in this cohort have often coincided with larger price moves in Cardano (ADA).
Their current lack of directional bias suggests large holders are not yet aggressively reducing exposure.
The combination of a fresh technical sell signal and inactive whales creates a mixed picture: the chart is leaning cautious, but the biggest holders have not confirmed the move with selling.
$0.21 Remains the Immediate Decision Point
The lower edge of Cardano’s rising channel sits near $0.21. Holding above this level would keep the broader structure intact and limit the immediate downside risk.
A daily close beneath it, however, would signal a clearer breakdown and raise the odds of a deeper ADA price drop toward the $0.17 support bubble.
