Building on the success associated with the Van Rossem upgrade and the Dijkstra era, Cardano is attracting prominent users to its crypto platform. Whales have heightened ADA accumulation, triggered by unfolding events on the blockchain, according to data shared today by market analyst Cardano Feed. This indicates that the chain is experiencing a significant increase in user appetite and enthusiasm following the debut of Cardano’s new network upgrade initiative.

Last month, on July 19, Cardano implemented a new network improvement, called the Van Rossem upgrade, to enhance core performance, security, and transaction scalability. The Van Rossem hard fork upgraded Cardano’s network to protocol version 11, introducing more scalable, cost-efficient smart contracts and enhanced node security.

The Dijkstra Era and its Ambitious Plans

The hard fork, named after Cardano’s network contributor Max Van Rossem, enabled the mainnet to move to protocol version 11, putting the community-voted upgrade initiative into effect. The Van Rossem hard fork brought improvements to Cardano’s Plutus smart contract functionalities, ledger effectiveness, and node security. The upgrade marked Cardano’s shift to the Dijkstra era – the network’s next major development phase.

Van Rossem’s update rollout marks the beginning of Cardano’s next major network development phase, the Dijkstra era, which is set to launch three key upgrades, including Peras, Ouroboros Leios, and Nested Transactions, to enhance the network’s resource management, transaction settlement, and scalability. Cardano plans to roll out the last two phases (Ouroboros Leios and Nested Transactions) before the year ends, expected to continue building Cardano’s on-chain governance model to enable ADA holders to participate in the network’s decision-making and voting processes.

ADA Regains Strength Amid Van Rossem Hard Fork

Cardano prepares for the next major phase of network evolution, the Dijkstra era, which aims to scale the chain’s performance and speed. The upgrade, brought by the Van Rossem hard fork, has attracted lots of whale buyers on the network, pointing to renewed confidence on the chain, as per the analyst’s revelation.

Over the past five days, whales have purchased 240 million ADA tokens, as disclosed today by Santiment data. Such strong accumulation enabled ADA to recover from its July lows, with the price currently hovering at $0.1921, up 22.8% and 5.6% over the past week and month, respectively.

The asset seems to have ended its downward phase and is currently trading within a bullish flag pattern, a historical structure that has repeatedly enabled it to rally 180% in the past. Based on this technical bull formation, ADA is likely to surge to the $0.53788 resistance level in the next few days and possibly climb higher, driven by its forming bull market structure.
