Crypto airdrops in week 33: the deadlines running right now

Airdrops are rarely what the marketing suggests. Most campaigns hand out small amounts, many windows close quietly, and a substantial share of the allocated tokens is never claimed. That is exactly why a sober look at what is actually scheduled pays off.

This overview lists five airdrops that either have a claim window open this week or a start date confirmed for the next 14 days. Every detail comes from the source linked in each case. Unconfirmed rumours about future distributions are left out.

The airdrop dates at a glance

Project Status Date / deadline
Grass (stage 2) Claim open until January 22, 2027
Plume (season 2) Claim open window ends in August 2026 according to reports
Midnight (NIGHT) Payout running thawing until December 4, 2026
dappOS (DOS) Claim open since August 10, 2026, end date not published
Propr (PROPR) Starting TGE on August 24, 2026

1. Grass: stage 2 rewards, deadline January 22, 2027

The Solana project Grass has been paying out its stage 2 rewards since July 22, 2026. The claim runs through the official dashboard and the deadline ends on January 22, 2027. After that, Grass keeps the amounts that were never claimed; according to the project there is no grace period.

Two points stand out. First, the payout is not made in GRASS tokens but in USDC, which the project attributes to regulatory uncertainty across various jurisdictions. Second, the eligibility period is tightly defined: it covers epoch 1 to epoch 19, meaning the period from October 14, 2024 to June 8, 2026. Anyone who collected more than zero network points in that window is generally eligible.

One security note: Grass explicitly points to the dashboard at app.grass.io as the only legitimate route. Checker or claim pages sent to you by direct message are not.

2. Plume: season 2, the claim window is expected to close this month

With Plume, the ship has already sailed for newcomers; the article is only relevant for those who registered in time. Registration for the season 2 distribution ran from April 29 to May 27, 2026. Wallets that missed that deadline are not part of the distribution, according to the project.

The requirement was at least 10,000 Plume points, collected by the March 31, 2026 cut-off. Some users also had to pass a Human Passport verification with a score above 20. The claim has been open since the end of May 2026 and distributes a pool of 150 million PLUME.

Here is the catch: in its announcement, Plume itself gives no exact end date. Industry reports mention a window of roughly three months, which would run out in August 2026. If you are registered and have not claimed yet, do not push this to September; check the official portal now.

3. Midnight (NIGHT): payouts in tranches until December 4, 2026

The Glacier Drop of the Cardano-adjacent privacy project Midnight is long over. The claim window was open from August 5 to October 20, 2025, and the Scavenger Mine from October 30 to November 19, 2025. Anyone who claimed back then is still affected, though, because the tokens only arrive gradually.

The so-called thawing phase has been running since December 10, 2025 and ends on December 4, 2026, followed by a 90-day grace period. Payouts come in four equal tranches of 25 percent each: the first unlock was distributed at random between December 10, 2025 and early March 2026, with the remaining tranches following at intervals of 90 days.

For latecomers, Midnight has also announced a lost-and-found phase, in which around 252 million unclaimed NIGHT are to go to originally eligible users who missed the first windows. The project has not named a date for it so far.

We have covered the background to the distribution in our article on the Cardano Midnight airdrop and the NIGHT distribution. For where the ADA price stands at the moment, read our assessment “Is Cardano a good buy at current prices?”.

4. dappOS (DOS): claim open since August 10

dappOS issued its token on August 10, 2026. Eligibility could be checked through the project portal from August 5, and the actual phase 1 claim started on August 10 at 10:00 UTC. Six percent of the total supply is being distributed to the community.

The token arrived at several trading venues on the same day: MEXC opened the DOS/USDT and DOS/USDC pairs, Bitget started spot trading at 11:00 UTC, and Binance Alpha added DOS to its launch lane. Bitget is flanking this with its own “Airdrop+” promotion, running from August 10, 2026 at 09:00 UTC until August 24, 2026 at 09:00 UTC. That is an exchange promotion, separate from the project airdrop itself.

dappOS has not yet published an end date for the phase 1 claim. If you are eligible, do not put the claim off. The only official route runs through dappos.com/airdrop.

5. Propr (PROPR): genesis airdrop at the TGE on August 24

The only fresh start in the 14-day window comes from Propr, an on-chain prop trading platform on Hyperliquid. The project’s tokenomics proposal dates the token generation event to August 24, 2026.

The plan is a fixed supply of one billion PROPR, of which 20 percent go to the genesis airdrop, fully unlocked at the TGE. A further 13 percent of total supply is earmarked for stakers of the XBG token; the team behind Propr is XBorg. Points for the distribution were collected by buying trading challenges, with each dollar spent worth ten points regardless of how the challenge turned out.

One caveat belongs with this: Propr has not yet published the specific claim mechanics or any claim deadline. So far only the TGE date and the split from the proposal are known. The fact that all investor rounds, the airdrop and the liquidity unlock simultaneously at launch also means considerable selling pressure on day one.

What to watch for on every airdrop claim

Airdrops are the favourite hunting ground for wallet drainers. A few rules apply whatever the project:

  • Always open the claim page through the official project domain, never through links in direct messages, comments or search ads.
  • No reputable airdrop asks for your seed phrase or your private key.
  • Check what permission you are granting before you sign. An unlimited token approval is not needed for a claim.
  • Weigh the network fee against the value of the allocation. On very small amounts, the claim can cost more than it returns.
  • Put deadlines in your calendar. The most common reason for forfeited entitlements is simply a missed window.

An airdrop is not a tax-free gift by definition. Whether the allocation has to be treated as other income under Section 22(3) of the German Income Tax Act depends above all on whether you provided something in return, and that is hard to reconstruct months later once the campaign page is offline.

So when you claim, secure the time, the amount, the market value, the price source, the transaction hash and the terms of participation straight away. We have put together which details count in our guide “Receiving airdrops: save this data immediately”. That unsold tokens can trigger a tax liability too is explained in “Unsold airdrops: tax liability even without a sale”.

You will find an overview of further campaigns in our section on crypto airdrops.

Conclusion

Of this week’s five dates, two are hard: Grass runs until January 22, 2027, and Midnight pays out in tranches until December 4, 2026. Plume and dappOS lack a published end date, which is a reason to bring the claim forward rather than an all-clear. Propr starts on August 24 but has left the claim details open.

Anyone taking part should size up the effort realistically. Most allocations sit in the double-digit range, and the claim fee eats a noticeable share of that.
