Crypto.com and Fanatics Collectibles will turn the official Champions League Final Match coin into a tokenized Topps relic card. The activation links a match-day ritual with physical memorabilia and a Cronos-based digital collectible. It also gives UEFA another test case for blockchain-backed fan engagement.
Match Coin Becomes A One Of One Relic Card
The 2026 UEFA Champions League Final in Budapest will anchor the new Crypto.com and Topps campaign. The official Match coin will start the final at Puskás Aréna through the referee’s opening toss. Then, Topps will seal the same coin inside a one of one premium Topps Now Relic card.

Topps will also release a base card through its online platform after the final. A single buyer of that base card will receive the relic card through a random selection process. Therefore, one fan will own the physical Match coin used during the final.
Crypto.com will also authenticate the Match coin on Cronos as a digital collectible. The token will support added access for the 2026 to 2027 season. These benefits include UEFA Super Cup Final tickets and a League Phase pass for one chosen club.
Cronos Tokenization Links Digital Access With Physical Memorabilia
The campaign adds more value to the Match coin through its blockchain record and season access. The token also gives the holder the right to deliver the Match coin at one club’s first home game. Hence, the asset connects ownership, access, and football ritual in one format.
Before the final, organizers used a drone to bring the Match coin into Puskás Aréna. UEFA ambassador Ashley Cole then unveiled it pitch-side before match day. The same item will later move to Topps’s Munich printers for card production.
The activation follows Crypto.com’s broader Champions League Match Coin campaign across 189 fixtures this season. Selected fans already received digital coin collectibles tied to prize draws and VIP access. Besides, the wider Champions Collection used silver and gold digital coins to add scarcity.
UEFA Expands Crypto Sponsorship Through Collectibles
UEFA named Crypto.com its first exclusive global cryptocurrency platform partner for the 2024 to 2027 cycle. The agreement gave Crypto.com space to test digital collectibles around Europe’s leading club competition. It also strengthened Cronos exposure through a major sports sponsorship platform.
Crypto.com has also expanded its sports presence across Formula 1, football, and other global properties. The company previously worked with Paris Saint-Germain as crypto sponsors increased football spending. Exchanges such as Binance and WhiteBIT have used sponsorships, NFT drops, and club-linked deals.
This Champions League relic card moves the model further by linking one used Match coin to a physical card. It also records the item on-chain while keeping the one of one collector format. Consequently, UEFA and Crypto.com gain a template for future finals and scarce sports collectibles.
