TL;DR
- DeFi Development Corp says its Solana treasury has reached approximately 2.564 million SOL and SOL equivalents.
- The company added roughly 26,203 SOL since September 28 and valued its holdings at about $302 million.
- Preliminary estimates show NAV per share rose more than 100% between August 12 and September 30, but those figures are not yet final audited results.
DeFi Development Corp has pushed its Solana treasury above 2.56 million SOL while reporting a sharp increase in preliminary net asset value per share.
The Nasdaq-listed company disclosed the update in an October 5 filing, saying it had added about 26,203 SOL since September 28.
Total holdings stood at approximately 2,564,212 SOL and SOL equivalents, worth about $302 million at the company’s stated valuation.
The Treasury Is Still Growing
The company says its SOL holdings have increased by roughly 11% since its August 12 earnings update.
That growth comes from both purchases and what management describes as organic accumulation, including staking-related activity.
For a company built around a crypto treasury strategy, the useful metric is not simply how many tokens it owns.
Shareholders also care about SOL per share, debt, cash and the claims of preferred shareholders because those factors determine how much of the treasury value ultimately sits behind each common share.
DeFi Development said its preliminary third-quarter estimates point to double-digit SOL-per-share growth and more than 100% growth in NAV per share from August 12 through September 30.
The Numbers Are Preliminary
The word “preliminary” is doing real work here.
The company has not yet reported final third-quarter results, and NAV is sensitive to both the market price of SOL and changes elsewhere in the capital structure.
A doubling of NAV per share over a period when the treasury asset performs strongly does not mean the same growth rate will persist.
The strategy also leaves shareholders exposed to Solana price volatility in addition to the ordinary risks of owning the company’s stock.
Even with those caveats, 2.56 million SOL is a substantial treasury position.
The update gives investors a clearer view of how aggressively the company is continuing its Solana strategy and how management wants that strategy judged: not just by the headline token count, but by the amount of SOL and net asset value attributable to each share.
