Dogecoin has climbed roughly 14% over the past two days, pushing the price back above $0.10. The meme coin now ranks as the biggest gainer among the top 20 cryptocurrencies by market cap.

The move higher was supported by a wave of short liquidations across the crypto market. Dogecoin alone saw $5.66 million in short liquidations on September 21, making it the largest short squeeze for DOGE since August 22.
Whale activity has picked up sharply. Data from CoinGlass shows four large addresses opened long positions totaling 78.2 million DOGE, worth around $5.59 million. All four positions are currently in profit. The only short position opened in the same period is sitting at an unrealized loss of $119,000.
Trader Tardigrade (@TATrader_Alan) noted on a 3-day chart that his limit sell order triggered at short-term resistance. He said the momentum has shifted into an uptrend and that he plans to only place buy orders for the next few weeks, waiting for DOGE to build strength near resistance before the next move higher.

ETF Inflows and Open Interest Rise
Institutional interest is also picking up. DOGE-focused ETFs recorded $909,650 in inflows on Monday, a jump from $284,510 on September 15. Rising ETF inflows often drive retail interest, adding another layer of buying pressure to the market.
Open interest on Dogecoin futures climbed to $1.57 billion, the highest reading since August 22. Binance alone saw open interest rise to $345 million, a level not seen since May 2026. The long/short ratio on Binance and OKX stands at 2.30 and 2.65 respectively, meaning long accounts outnumber shorts on both exchanges.
DOGE has broken above the 200-day EMA at $0.092 and is trading above both the 50-day and 100-day EMAs clustered around $0.083. The MACD has crossed above its signal line, and the histogram is expanding positively.
Key Levels to Watch
The RSI sits at 72, placing it in overbought territory. DOGE needs to clear the supply zone between $0.100 and $0.10219 to open a path toward $0.116–$0.117.

A double-bottom pattern on the daily chart puts the technical target at $0.102 if current levels hold.
Binance’s open interest in DOGE reaching $345 million marks the highest reading on that exchange since May 2026.
