- EGLD’s recovery is strong, but the broader bearish structure remains intact.
- Rising open interest and positive flows suggest early signs of renewed buyer interest.
- Supernova’s faster blocks could strengthen EGLD’s fundamentals and investor sentiment.
MultiversX (EGLD) has staged a powerful recovery, but its broader market structure remains firmly bearish. EGLD trades around $5.38 after gaining 29.07% over 24 hours and 55.70% in seven days.
Trading volume has also climbed above $52.5 million, signaling stronger market participation. However, the sharp rebound follows a prolonged decline from the $14-$16 region.
Recovery Meets Heavy Resistance
EGLD currently holds near the $5.30-$5.50 support area after its latest surge. A sustained move above $6 could encourage buyers to target $7.11 next. The $7.11 level marks the 0.236 Fibonacci retracement and represents an important recovery barrier.
Additionally, $9.04 could become the next major target if momentum continues improving. This level aligns with the 0.382 Fibonacci retracement. Above it, EGLD faces stronger resistance near $10.60. The zone also sits close to the 20-day EMA around $10.32.
Moreover, resistance strengthens between $12.16 and $12.57, while $14.37 remains a distant hurdle. Therefore, EGLD needs several successful breakouts before confirming a broader trend reversal.
Derivatives Show Early Interest
Open interest has remained far below its historical highs despite the recent price advance. OI previously reached nearly $65 million during major volatility periods. It later declined toward $9 million to $15 million during the second quarter.
Recently, open interest recovered toward $17 million as EGLD regained momentum. This increase suggests traders have started returning to derivatives markets. However, participation remains modest compared with earlier cycles.
Hence, sustained OI growth alongside rising prices would provide stronger evidence for a durable recovery. Falling OI during another rally could instead signal weakening conviction.
Capital Flows Turn More Constructive
Spot flows have also delivered mixed signals throughout the broader decline. Outflows frequently exceeded inflows, highlighting persistent selling pressure. Nevertheless, several significant inflow spikes appeared during December, January, February, May, and July.
Recent flows have become increasingly volatile, but the latest reading showed roughly $138,000 entering EGLD. Significantly, continued positive flows could indicate improving accumulation.
Supernova Adds a Fundamental Catalyst
The September 10 Supernova mainnet activation could give EGLD another catalyst beyond market speculation. The upgrade targets 600-millisecond blocks compared with roughly six seconds currently.
Besides faster block production, the upgrade could improve settlement speed and network scalability. Consequently, stronger network performance could support renewed attention toward EGLD.
Technical Outlook For MultiversX Price
Key levels remain well-defined for MultiversX as EGLD attempts to extend its sharp recovery:
Upside levels: $6.00, $6.20, and $7.11 as immediate hurdles. A breakout above $7.11 could open the path toward $9.04 and $10.60.
Downside levels: $5.30-$5.50 as immediate support, followed by $4.00 as the major structural floor.
Resistance ceiling: $10.32-$10.60 represents the key zone EGLD must reclaim for stronger medium-term bullish momentum. The technical picture shows EGLD attempting to recover after a prolonged decline from the $14-$16 region. A decisive breakout could trigger stronger volatility and accelerate the recovery.
Will MultiversX Go Up?
MultiversX price performance will depend heavily on whether buyers can defend the $5.30-$5.50 region and challenge $6.20. Stronger momentum could push EGLD toward $7.11 before opening a path toward $9.04 and $10.60.
However, rejection around $6 could trigger another test of nearby support. A break below $5.30 would weaken the recovery, while losing $4.00 could restore the broader bearish structure.
Meanwhile, rising open interest and improving spot inflows could strengthen the bullish case if both trends continue. The September 10 Supernova upgrade also adds a potential catalyst, with faster block times and improved settlement efficiency potentially attracting renewed market attention. For now, EGLD remains at a pivotal point, with technical confirmation and sustained capital flows likely to determine its next major move.
