Ethereum Attracts the Biggest Bets

As of today, ethereum’s price wagers are where the money is. Polymarket’s ethereum price-target market has recorded about $12.9 million in volume as of Sept. 1, while Kalshi’s year-end ethereum market has handled roughly $12 million. Meanwhile, ether is trading for around $2,441 per coin at press time.

Looking at it from a different perspective, the two markets ask different questions. Polymarket’s contract tracks whether ethereum touches specific prices at any point through Dec. 31. On the other hand, Kalshi instead asks where ETH will finish the year, using mutually exclusive price ranges.

That distinction matters a great deal. Crypto assets can crash, rally and still finish somewhere in the middle. Prediction-marketplace odds on two of the world’s leading venues show what traders think is possible, not simply where they expect the final price to land.

Prediction Market Bets See Ethereum’s Downside as the Nearer Threat

On Tuesday afternoon on Polymarket, wagerers assign a 77% probability that the second largest crypto asset by market cap, ethereum (ETH), touches $2,250 and a 45% probability it reaches $2,000 per coin. The odds fall to 21% for $1,750 and 14% for the $1,500 ethereum price range.

The upside looks tougher. On the flip side, ethereum’s price has a 48% chance of reaching $3,000, according to Polymarket odds, but only a 25% chance of hitting $3,500. The probability drops to 15% at $4,000 and 6% at $5,000. A run to $10,000 gets a brutal 2%.

Kalshi’s year-end contract is less about the wildest intrayear move. Its reported forecast value stands at $2,610 as of Sept. 1, with individual brackets between $2,000 and $2,749.99 each carrying probabilities of roughly 10% to 11%. Of course, as the months continue, these chances could change significantly.

XRP Bettors Price a Fall Below $1 Alongside a Rebound

XRP’s price predictions show a similar split. XRP’s valuation is $1.37 per unit at 1:30 p.m. EDT, while Polymarket bettors give it a 73% chance of touching $1.20 and a 40% chance of falling to $1. The tape shows a slide to 80 cents carries 16% odds.

Yet prediction market traders on Kalshi are also keeping a rebound alive. Its XRP maximum-price market puts the probability of exceeding $2 at 44%, above $2.50 at 29%, and above $3 at 23%. Polymarket’s comparable upside contract probabilities are noticeably lower, though the event uses different settlement rules and data sources.

Solana Wagers Point to a Wide Trading Range

Solana’s price forecasts via prediction market odds tell much the same story, with the seventh largest crypto by market cap trading at $101.41 apiece. Today, Polymarket traders give SOL a 67% chance of touching $90 but also a 63% chance of reaching $120.

Beyond that, the odds thin quickly. Polymarket puts the chance of $160 at 25% and $200 at 11%. Kalshi bettors give solana’s price a 35% probability of exceeding $150, 30% above $160 and 28% above $170. Not all of the differences are clean disagreements.

For instance, Polymarket uses Binance one-minute price candles for its event contracts, while Kalshi relies on CF Benchmarks indexes and its own settlement rules. Even small differences in timing and methodology can change whether a contract pays. The data further shows that while the crowd sentiment feels bullish, real money betting on ETH, XRP, and SOL prices is cautious.

Year-End Deadlines Will Settle the 2026 Crypto Price Bets

The clearest message from all the odds, is not that those betting know where crypto is heading. They do not. Instead, millions of dollars in prediction-market activity can also be seen as traders paying for protection and speculation across a great deal of wide-ranging outcomes.

The clock now runs toward Dec. 31, 2026, with the ethereum, XRP and solana price prediction market contracts ultimately decided by whether their specified thresholds are reached or, for Kalshi’s ethereum market, where ETH settles at year-end. As the clock ticks closer, these chances will change a great deal, and the closer it gets, the more actionable the bets become.
