ETH is up more than 4% on the week. Buyers have defended the $1,840–$1,850 region consistently since the start of August, stopping any deeper pullback.

The price is now above three key daily moving averages. ETH sits above its 20-day average at $1,895, its 100-day at $1,911, and its 50-day at $1,796. The one lagging indicator is the 200-day moving average, which sits at $2,061. ETH remains below that level.

The daily Bull Bear Power reading turned positive at 32.07, suggesting buyers have a modest edge right now.

Analyst Ted Pillows weighed in on Twitter, noting that ETH ETFs bought $244.94 million in Ethereum this week — the largest weekly inflow in almost four months. He also said that despite a delay in Clarity Act voting, ETH looks healthy. “If ETH manages to hold above this level, a rally to $2,000 could happen next,” he wrote.

ETF Flows and Jobs Data Fuel the Move

US spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $92.15 million in net inflows on Aug. 6. BlackRock’s ETHA led the prior session with $50.34 million. Cumulative net inflows into US spot ETH ETFs have now crossed $11.4 billion.

Friday’s US jobs report added fuel. The economy lost 23,000 jobs in July versus expectations of around 80,000 gains. That miss made another Fed rate hike harder to justify, with futures now pricing roughly a 56% chance of a pause at the September meeting.

The 4-hour RSI stands at 61.74, above its signal line but below the 70 overbought level. Momentum is with buyers, but not stretched.

Liquidation Zones Point Toward $1,950

The 3-day liquidation heatmap shows a cluster of leveraged positions near $1,925, with a larger band between $1,945 and $1,955. These zones could pull price higher if buying pressure continues.

A break through $1,925 could trigger forced buying from short sellers, accelerating a move toward $1,950.

Analyst Michaël van de Poppe said Ethereum could outperform Bitcoin if BTC breaks higher. His broader target for ETH sits near $2,400, though he noted ETH needs to clear $2,000 and the 200-day average first.

The next level to watch is $2,000. ETH closed Friday near $1,918, with $1,900 as the immediate support level holding the short-term bullish case together.
