What to know:

  • Ethereum price remains in a bullish long-term structure despite recent weakness.
  • Crypto Patel sees $3,400–$4,400 as the key breakout zone before higher targets emerge.
  • ETH needs to hold the $1,823 support area and reclaim $1,900 to improve short-term momentum.

Ethereum price is currently trading within a strong bullish trend in the long term. The analyst believes that if the cryptocurrency succeeds in breaching resistance areas, then there are chances for it to move higher.

At the time of writing, ETH is trading at $1,871.19, down 0.71% over the last 24 hours, with daily trading volume of about $12.89 billion and a market capitalization of roughly $226.28 billion.

A crypto analyst, Crypto Patel, noted on August 14, 2026, a long-term setup on Ethereum that can result in a significantly higher price in the coming months. A price target of $50,000 has been forecasted, but the analyst’s forecast is based on Ethereum breaking a few key resistance areas first.

Ethereum Price Holds Key Long-Term Structure

As per Crypto Patel, despite the weakness observed in prices in the recent past, Ethereum’s three-week macro structure continues to remain bullish. The technical analysis shows that despite a liquidity sweep into the accumulation range, ETH has been able to continue honoring an ascending macro trendline.

This is because the accumulation range is significant in the sense that ETH has been able to continue moving within this range. Nevertheless, Ethereum will have to show that buyers can force a reversal above critical resistances before the bullish outlook becomes stronger.

Patel has pinpointed the area of $3,400-$4,400 as the primary breakout zone. A move above this area could indicate a shift in the entire market structure of Ethereum.

Following this, the prediction targets $10,000 as a breakout level, and after that, $20,000 or beyond as a macro breakout target. The final target of $50,000 is more distant and thus should be considered a long-term target.

ETH Technical Indicators Show a Mixed Picture

The immediate-term technical signals for Ethereum appear less favorable.

Ethereum is currently trading below its 20-day SMA at $1,891.87 and its 100-day SMA at $1,879.47. Ethereum is also trading below its 200-day SMA at $2,024.18, signaling resistance from the overall price pattern.

ETH is now using the 50-day simple moving average of $1,823.87 as close support. Staying above this level will be crucial for ETH to create a base for making another comeback move, while breaking below will add more pressure on the bears.

The momentum indicator is also nearly neutral. The RSI for Ethereum is 49.82, which is just below the neutral 50 mark and also below its RSI average of 52.55.

What Could Happen Next for Ethereum Price?

In the short-term, the $1,823-$1,900 range needs to be kept in mind. If ETH manages to stay above the 50-day SMA, it might have an opportunity to push towards the $1,900 level.

The bigger technical obstacle, on the other hand, is much higher than the current one. The bulls will only begin gaining technical strength when the $3,400-$4,400 level is broken again.

A successful breakout may bring $10,000 into play, whereas a longer expansion trend may eventually pave the way for a more substantial breakout above $20,000 mentioned in the analysis. At this point, the scenario where Ethereum price hits $50,000 looks very unrealistic since ETH needs to reach a much higher valuation.

In summary, the main message is that despite the positive long-term outlook on Ethereum, the current technical setup does not support the idea of a successful breakout yet.
