Ethereum (ETH) is seeing heightened whale activity as large holders increase their involvement across the network. The latest activity points to stronger accumulation among major wallets, adding a new layer to Ethereum’s market structure. However, the ETH price continues to face a significant supply zone that could determine whether the asset can extend its recovery or encounter further resistance.
Whale Activity Accelerates Across Ethereum
According to crypto analyst Ali Charts, Ethereum has recorded a substantial increase in transactions involving large-value transfers.
Transactions worth more than $1 million surged from 1,202 to 7,113 over the past week, representing an increase of nearly 500% and highlighting a notable rise in whale activity across the network.
The increase in large transactions has also coincided with significant accumulation by major holders. Large wallets added more than 320,000 ETH over the past week, with the holdings valued at approximately $864 million at current prices.
The activity suggests that major market participants have remained active despite Ethereum facing resistance overhead.

Large-value transactions can include transfers between exchanges, custodians, and privately controlled wallets, meaning transaction data alone does not confirm buying.
However, the reported accumulation alongside the increase in whale activity provides an important signal for Ethereum’s current market structure.

Ethereum Faces Heavy Supply Pressure
Ethereum is approaching a major supply zone between $2,722 and $2,822. More than 13.3 million ETH were previously traded within this range, creating a substantial concentration of historical activity that could make the area difficult to clear.
The supply concentration is particularly relevant as Ethereum attempts to establish stronger momentum.
Previous breakout attempts can encounter selling pressure when holders who accumulated within a resistance area look to exit or reduce positions. As a result, consolidation or rejection around the zone would remain possible.
A sustained move through the upper boundary would shift attention toward the next significant resistance areas. The latest analysis identifies levels around $2,970 and $3,366 as the subsequent hurdles that could become relevant if Ethereum clears the current supply wall.
Technical Structure Remains Focused on Resistance
The $2,722-$2,822 region remains the primary technical area to monitor for Ethereum. The large amount of historical trading activity within this range makes it an important test for the current market structure.
It is common for a number of attempts to breach a significant supply area to occur, especially when many tokens have been traded in that particular area. Consolidation within the area may happen to Ethereum before forming an idea about where it may head to.

The next areas marked in the chart above the supply wall include those at $2,970 and $3,366. This will be more important for Ethereum if it trades above its present resistance level.
What Happens Next for the ETH Price?
The next phase for Ethereum is marked by two contrasting factors. Accumulation and activity by whales has risen, while a strong historical supply region persists in restraining the market structure.
The relationship between whales and the resistance region between $2,722 and $2,822 will be an integral part of the current market setup for Ethereum.
Moving above the supply region would bring the other resistance regions within sight, while rejection would maintain Ethereum trading below this level.
For now, whales offer valuable context in the market, although the reaction to the strong supply region is the essential factor to consider.
