It was revealed this Monday that Franklin Templeton, the global asset manager with over $1.5 trillion in assets, joined Canton Network as a super validator. This move reinforces the financial giant’s tokenization strategy, following the previous integration of its Benji Technology platform into this blockchain network designed for the institutional sector.

As a super validator, the firm will participate in the governance, consensus, and security of the ecosystem. Canton Network offers an architecture focused on privacy and interoperability, enabling banks and traditional institutions to transfer tokenized assets with high confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

This milestone represents a significant endorsement for institutional decentralized finance (DeFi), demonstrating that major asset managers are moving from the experimental phase to direct operation of blockchain infrastructure. With the onboarding of players of this caliber, the sector accelerates the convergence between traditional financial markets and on-chain technology.
