A new U.S. government filing has revealed 1,152 trades in Donald Trump’s investment portfolio during July, including purchases of crypto-linked stocks Coinbase (COIN) and Strategy Inc. (MSTR).
The disclosure offers a look at how Trump’s crypto-linked stock positions have performed since the trades, while also showing that the portfolio sold shares of Bitcoin miners MARA Holdings (MARA) and CleanSpark (CLSK).
Although the filing does not disclose the exact number of shares purchased or sold, it provides transaction-value ranges. DailyCoin calculated how much profit or missed gain Trump’s crypto portfolio could have generated from the purchase or sale dates through the current period.
Trump’s Portfolio Bought Coinbase and Strategy Shares
Trump’s portfolio report shows that it bought COIN shares on July 24, 2026. The maximum disclosed investment was $15,000, while COIN closed at $158.29 per share that day.
At $158.29 per share, a maximum $15,000 investment would have bought 94.76 COIN shares.
COIN closed at $198.13 on September 23, bringing the maximum value of that position to $18,774.80.
At the maximum disclosed investment, those COIN shares would have generated a $3,774.80 gain, or +25.17%.
Strategy Inc. (MSTR) purchases are more complicated. According to the filing, Trump’s portfolio sold MSTR shares on July 8 in the $1,001 to $15,000 range. MSTR’s closing price that day was $93.87.
On July 24, however, the portfolio bought MSTR shares in the $1,001 to $15,000 range, when MSTR closed at $91.67. On July 27, it made another purchase in the $50,000 to $100,000 range, when MSTR closed at $98.65.
MSTR closed at $162.20 on September 23. DailyCoin calculated that Trump’s portfolio could have acquired 163.63 shares on July 24 and 1,013.68 shares on July 27.
At the maximum disclosed purchase amounts, the two MSTR positions would have generated $11,540.79 (+76.94%) and $64,418.90 (+64.42%), respectively. Combined, the positions would have produced a $75,959.69 gain, representing a +66.05% return through September 24.
In total, the purchased assets (COIN and MSTR) had a Total Invested amount of $130,000, a Current Value of $209,734.49, and a Net Unrealized Profit of +$79,734.49 (+61.33% return).
MARA and CleanSpark Rose After Trump’s Portfolio Sold
Trump’s account sold MARA shares on July 29, although the filing does not specify the number of shares. The maximum disclosed transaction amount was $50,000.
MARA closed at $10.06 per share on July 29. Dividing the maximum $50,000 transaction value by the closing price gives a maximum possible sale of 4,970.18 MARA shares.
Compared with MARA’s September 23 closing price of $13.35, those shares would have been worth $66,351.90 if they had not been sold, representing a potential $16,351.90 gain. Missed gain from selling MARA: -$16,351.90 (or -32.7%).
CleanSpark (CLSK) shares show a similar pattern. On July 29, Trump’s portfolio sold CLSK shares for a maximum disclosed amount of $50,000. The stock closed at $12.01 that day, implying a maximum possible sale of 4,163.20 shares.
At CLSK’s September 23 closing price of $14.46, those shares would have been worth $60,200.00.
The resulting potential missed gain was $10,200.00, or -20.4%.
In total, the portfolio realized $100,000 in cash from the two sales. Had the shares been retained, they would have been worth $126,551.90, representing a $26,551.90 missed upside (-26.55% opportunity loss due to both stocks rallying post-sale).
