TLDR
- KIDZ AI signed a 60-month, $44.6 million GPU compute services agreement with Canopy Wave
- Subsidiary Catalyst Compute LLC will deploy 256 NVIDIA HGX B300 GPUs across 32 nodes
- Each node includes dual Intel Xeon 6776P processors, 4TB DDR5 memory, and 800Gb/s InfiniBand
- The deal targets cost-efficient, open-weight AI inference — not raw scale competition
- KIDZ AI sees the deal as a repeatable template for future deployments
KIDZ AI (KIDZ) has signed a definitive 60-month enterprise AI compute services agreement with Canopy Wave, Inc., valued at $44.6 million. The stock was up 0.27% on the news.
The deal is subject to KIDZ AI’s subsidiary placing a non-cancellable order for the GPU servers required to fulfill the contract.
Under the agreement, Catalyst Compute LLC — KIDZ AI’s wholly owned subsidiary — will order and deploy a dedicated cluster of 256 NVIDIA HGX B300 GPUs. These will run across 32 specialized GPU nodes, each fitted with dual Intel Xeon 6776P processors, 4TB of DDR5 memory, and 800Gb/s InfiniBand interconnectivity.
Canopy Wave is an AI inference platform focused on deploying open-weight models. Its roster includes Moonshot AI’s 2.8-trillion-parameter Kimi K3 and DeepSeek architectures.
The Neocloud Angle
KIDZ AI is positioning itself differently from standard GPU cloud providers. Rather than chasing merchant capacity at scale, the company is pairing infrastructure with long-term contracted enterprise demand.
The idea is to build purpose-built compute for high-throughput, cost-efficient inference on open-weight models — a segment KIDZ AI believes is one of the fastest-growing in AI infrastructure.
KIDZ AI CEO Stephanie Luo said the model is built on “scalable commercial foundation rather than speculative capacity,” and that the company plans to repeat it across future deployments.
Canopy Wave CEO Tao Zhang described the deal as “just the beginning,” adding that the company wants to help KIDZ AI “scale additional GPU clusters and turn this infrastructure into powerful token factories for the enterprise AI market.”
Open-Weight Models Drive the Case
KIDZ AI’s rationale leans on a shifting AI market. Open-weight models like Kimi K3 and DeepSeek have narrowed the gap with proprietary models at a fraction of the cost.
Luo noted that “cost per token, throughput, latency, and utilization” are becoming the key competitive metrics as affordable AI expands the addressable market for compute.
The company believes Canopy Wave’s focus on optimized inference aligns directly with that trend.
The $44.6 million contract runs over five years, with Catalyst Compute LLC responsible for placing the non-cancellable GPU server order.
KIDZ AI described the Canopy Wave partnership as a template it aims to replicate across future infrastructure deals.
