Kraken now supports native USDC on Injective, enhancing stablecoin access for on-chain trading and tokenization.

Kraken Enables Native USDC Transfers on Injective (INJ)

Kraken has introduced native USDC deposits and withdrawals for the Injective (INJ)blockchain, marking a significant step in simplifying stablecoin transfers and expanding Injective’s ecosystem. This integration allows Kraken users to seamlessly move USDC—issued natively by Circle—between the exchange and Injective without requiring cross-chain transfers, reducing friction for on-chain financial activities.

Injective, a Layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for decentralized finance, has gained traction for its focus on tokenization, real-world asset applications, and near-instant settlement. With this update, Kraken becomes one of the few major exchanges to directly support native USDC on Injective, streamlining access to its ecosystem of decentralized markets, payment rails, and programmable financial applications.

Why Native USDC Matters

USDC on Injective acts as a stable, dollar-denominated asset that powers on-chain trading, payments, and capital allocation. Prior to this integration, users had to route USDC through other blockchains and execute complex cross-chain transfers to access Injective. Kraken’s support eliminates this extra step, providing a direct pipeline for stablecoin liquidity.

Once on Injective, USDC holders can engage with its high-performance financial infrastructure, which features sub-second block times and near-zero transaction fees. The network supports a wide range of activities, including spot and derivatives trading, tokenized asset interactions, and payment settlements.

Injective’s native USDC integration aligns with its broader strategy of enhancing institutional-grade infrastructure. Earlier this month, Injective also announced support for Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP), further bolstering its stablecoin liquidity and interoperability.

Kraken’s Role in the Injective Ecosystem

Kraken, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges with $2 trillion in transaction volume reported last year, has a deep relationship with Injective. It listed INJ, Injective’s native token, in 2021 and operates as an institutional validator on the network. This validator role allows Kraken to participate in staking and network security, while also enabling institutions to stake INJ via non-custodial means.

Notably, Kraken played a key role in scaling institutional adoption of Injective. In 2025, it supported Pineapple’s $100 million INJ treasury via its validator infrastructure. Today’s addition of native USDC support further cements Kraken’s contributions to Injective’s growth, extending its services from trading and staking to stablecoin movement.

Injective’s Growing Institutional Adoption

The integration comes at a time when Injective is accelerating its institutional reach. Over the past months, it introduced AI-driven financial tools, launched CFTC-regulated INJ futures, and expanded enterprise adoption through initiatives like POSCO’s tokenized trade receivables pilot. Combined with native USDC support, these developments position Injective as a robust platform for both retail and institutional users looking to streamline financial operations on-chain.

Market Implications

USDC remains one of the most traded stablecoins, with a market cap of $61.59 billion as of July 28, 2026. Injective’s ability to now seamlessly integrate this liquidity via Kraken enhances its capability to attract traders and institutions seeking efficient, cost-effective financial tools. This move could also drive additional demand for INJ, given its utility in staking, governance, and transaction fee capture on the network.

For Kraken users, the process to access Injective’s ecosystem is straightforward. Users can select USDC, choose Injective as the network, and directly deposit or withdraw with minimal friction. This ease of access could further boost adoption of on-chain financial services leveraged by Injective’s infrastructure.

As Injective continues to expand its reach through partnerships and technical advancements, native USDC support on Kraken reinforces its position as a leader in blockchain-based finance.
