LiveWire Group’s stock came roaring back after hours on Thursday, jumping 58.44% to $1.22 after the electric motorcycle maker posted second-quarter results showing a 55% jump in consolidated revenue.

The stock had actually closed the regular session down 15.29% at $0.77, making the after-hours move all the more dramatic.

Revenue came in at $9.1 million for the quarter ended June 30, up from $5.9 million in the same period last year. The gain was driven by higher unit sales across both of LiveWire’s business segments.

LiveWire operates two segments: Electric Motorcycles and STACYC, which sells electric balance bikes for children.

The net loss narrowed to $18.2 million from $18.8 million a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA loss also improved slightly, coming in at $15.1 million compared to $15.7 million in the prior year period.

CEO Karim Donnez called the quarter “an important step forward in the execution of our strategic growth plan.”

Dust Acquisition and S4 Honcho Launch

In May, LiveWire completed its acquisition of Dust Motorcycles, an electric off-road motorcycle manufacturer. The deal expands LiveWire’s footprint in a growing off-road segment.

The company also started production on its new S4 Honcho platform, a lineup of lightweight, 125cc-equivalent electric mini-motorcycles. The range includes the S4 Honcho Trail and S4 Honcho Street models, aimed at a more accessible price point.

LiveWire said its full-year guidance remains unchanged following the Q2 results.
