Machi Big Brother, whose real name is Huang Licheng, was fully liquidated on Hyperliquid. Market monitoring showed his account balance dropped from a peak of $12.25 million to just $21,800.

The trader had been on a long winning streak. According to BlockBeats on-chain detection, he turned $56,000 into $12.25 million over the past four months.

How the Liquidation Unfolded

The streak relied on leveraged trading. In leveraged trading, a trader borrows funds to take a bigger position than their own money would allow.

When the market moves against a leveraged position, the exchange can close it automatically. This is called liquidation, and it can wipe out the funds backing the trade.

On-chain monitors flagged the liquidation as it happened. The reports described the drop from $12.25 million to $21,800 as a full reversal of his recent gains.

Machi is a well-known figure among crypto traders. His wallet activity is often tracked, and his trades draw attention on social media.

Posts about the event spread quickly. One widely shared post called the swing a roller coaster, noting he had turned $56,000 into $12.25 million before falling back to $21,800.

Hupzy, a crypto news account, said a loss of this size can force other positions to close on a perpetual futures venue. It noted that the event showed the risks of high leverage on Hyperliquid. Perpetual futures are contracts that let traders bet on price moves without an expiry date.

Machi Returns With a New Position

The story did not end with the liquidation. Data from Hyperbot showed that Machi returned about 25 minutes after being wiped out.

He opened a new Ethereum long position with 25x leverage. A long position is a bet that the price of an asset will rise.

According to Odaily, the new position holds 290 ETH. The reported liquidation price is $2,324.

A liquidation price is the level at which the exchange would close the position automatically. If Ether falls to that level, the position would be liquidated again.

Binance News, a verified Binance account, shared both reports. The first covered the full liquidation, and the second covered the new 25x position.

It was not clear from the reports how Machi funded the new trade after the balance fell to $21,800. The reports did not give details on the margin used.

As of the latest reports, Machi holds the 25x Ethereum long of 290 ETH. The position has a liquidation price of $2,324.
