META stock was down 4.90% at the time of reporting.

The app is built around what Meta calls “gizmos” — small, playable AI experiences generated from a simple text prompt. Think of it as vibe-coding for your social feed. You type a prompt, and the app builds you something interactive to share with friends.

One example Meta gives: prompting the app to turn a flower into a paintbrush, then drawing with it on your touchscreen. Gizmos can also respond to tilt, play sound, access your camera, or pull from your photo roll.

Meta describes Pocket as a platform to “create, share, and discover gizmos with friends.” The app is pitched as a scrollable feed of these AI mini-games from people around the world.

This wasn’t built from scratch. Business Insider reported in March that Meta hired the team behind Atma Sciences Inc., which had built an app called Gizmo. That app had over 14,000 ratings on Apple’s App Store with a 4.9 score. Meta also acquired a non-exclusive license to Atma’s technology, though financial terms were not disclosed.

Pocket appears to be the direct product of that deal.

Where Pocket Fits in Meta’s App Portfolio

Meta’s app lineup has expanded well beyond its core trio of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. It has added Threads, Forum, and a growing set of AI-focused tools. Pocket is the latest addition to that list.

Developer Alessandro Paluzzi, who reverse-engineers Meta’s apps, noted that Pocket is likely to be promoted across Meta’s existing apps. It’s expected to sit alongside Instants, Meta’s new Snapchat-style app on Instagram.

The timing and full regional rollout for Pocket have not been confirmed by Meta. The company did not respond to a request for comment.

The Space Pocket Is Moving Into

Pocket isn’t alone in this idea. Sekai, an app with a similar concept — a social feed built around vibe-coded games — recently raised $20 million in Series A funding. TikTok has also tested its own mini-game feed.

Interactive content is being pitched by several companies as a way to refresh social feeds that have started to feel repetitive.

On TipRanks, META holds a consensus Strong Buy rating based on 32 Buy ratings and 5 Holds over the last three months. The average price target sits at $818.23, implying roughly 40% upside from current levels.
