The NEAR price is getting stronger, with more positive technical setups indicating potential improvement in buyers’ appetite. The recent action brings back focus on the overall NEAR trend, especially with the market having an increasingly strong setup.
At the time of writing, NEAR is trading at $2.24, with a 24-hour trading volume of $968.06 million and a market capitalization of approximately $2.88 billion. The token has gained 12.63% over the last 24 hours, putting NEAR back in focus across the crypto market.

NEAR Price Re-Entry Zone Signals More Upside
On September 5, 2026, crypto analyst Crypto Patel noted that NEAR previously had an increase of 234% since his prior entry point. In his analysis, the setup was located within the range of $1.20 and $0.90, with NEAR bouncing off the mark of $0.90 before starting its rally. Patel noted that the setup is still valid and mentioned several higher targets.

As per Patel, the range of $1.60 and $1.30 will be the re-entry point for NEAR in case of a strong retracement. Patel’s longer-term targets are $8, $17, and $30-$50, with $0.80 remaining his major invalidation point.

NEAR Price Builds Bullish Momentum
NEAR price shows good buying momentum, with RSI (14) moving to 69.18, just below the critical overbought level of 70.
The RSI average is 58.78, implying that bullish sentiment has increased, as NEAR price has been recovering from recent lows. The price of NEAR is at $2.2054, almost near the overbought region; hence, there may be volatility in the coming sessions if RSI exceeds 70.

In addition, MACD has given another buy signal, with the MACD line being above the signal line, at 0.08460 and 0.05296. In the MACD histogram, it is at 0.03164, pointing to an increase in momentum of NEAR’s recent upward trend.
NEAR started trading today at $2.1730, has an intraday high of $2.2888, an intraday low of $2.1709, and has risen by 1.49% at this time of trading.
What Happens Next for NEAR Price?
However, from a price perspective, the near-term objective for NEAR is whether it can stay above the $2 level and test the $2.28-$2.29 range. A break above this range could consolidate the bullish structure in the short term and pave the way for further advances.
Failure to sustain the present momentum could result in a retracement phase. The proposed $1.60-$1.30 accumulation zone by Patel could prove relevant if NEAR price pulls back.
For investors, it means that the NEAR project now has some very promising technical indications; however, the direction of further development will be defined by how buyers are able to preserve their momentum. Long-term targets at $8, $17, and $30-$50 would mean a more pronounced move up and ecosystem expansion.
At the moment, the NEAR price looks better than it did during the previous accumulation phase. Resistance around the previous highs and RSI at 70 are the key factors here.
