- Nexo launches regulated crypto-backed Credit Lines for eligible Australians.
- Users can borrow AUD or stablecoins without selling crypto collateral.
- Nexo adds Growth and Booster products to its Australian platform.
Nexo has expanded its Australian operations after securing lending authorization, allowing eligible clients to borrow against digital assets without selling their holdings. The move gives Australian users access to regulated crypto-backed credit while preserving exposure to their underlying assets. The launch also broadens Nexo’s local offering as demand grows for regulated financial services involving digital assets.
Nexo Launches Regulated Crypto Credit Lines
Nexo Australia has launched its Credit Lines after becoming an authorized Credit Representative under Australia’s consumer credit framework. The authorization makes Nexo one of a limited number of digital asset platforms offering regulated crypto-backed lending services locally.
Eligible customers can pledge supported digital assets as collateral and receive funds in Australian dollars or stablecoins. According to Nexo, borrowers can generally access funds within 24 hours after completing the required assessment process.
Interest rates range from 0.9% to 21.9% annually, depending on the selected Credit Line and the customer’s Wealth Club loyalty tier. The products also come without fixed repayment periods or origination fees, while allowing customers to make flexible repayments.
Nexo offers two Credit Line versions, with differences involving rates, supported assets, and collateral management requirements. Its Collateral Exchange feature also allows eligible borrowers to switch between supported collateral assets without closing an existing Credit Line.
However, borrowing against volatile digital assets carries substantial risks. Falling collateral values can increase loan-to-value ratios and potentially trigger margin requirements or liquidation. Therefore, customers could lose some or all of their pledged assets during severe market declines.
Nexo secures a lending authorisation in Australia, one of very few digital asset platforms to do so.
Introducing our pioneering Credit Lines: borrow against your crypto without selling it, with payouts in AUD or stablecoins, fast assessment process, and no fixed term.

Nexo Australia operates under Credit Representative number 580430, while Avgi Pty Ltd services the regulated credit products under Australian Credit Licence 567308. The company is also registered with AUSTRAC as a digital currency exchange provider and belongs to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA).
Nexo Expands Its Australian Digital Asset Platform
Alongside Credit Lines, Nexo has introduced Booster, which allows eligible customers to increase their digital asset exposure by up to three times. Because additional positions become collateral, the product can amplify both potential returns and losses.
Nexo has also relaunched its yield offering as Nexo Growth, advertising returns of up to 10% annually on supported assets. Rates vary depending on the asset and selected arrangement, while returns remain subject to applicable terms and are not guaranteed.
Flexible Growth allows returns to accrue daily and permits withdrawals on request. Meanwhile, Fixed-term Growth requires customers to commit assets for a predetermined period in exchange for potentially higher returns.
The broader Australian platform now combines Credit Lines, exchange services, Growth, Booster, and Wealth Club benefits. Nexo said the expanded offering aims to provide Australians with broader ways to borrow, manage, and potentially generate returns from digital assets.
The company has not disclosed projected Australian lending volumes or customer numbers following the launch. Instead, access will remain subject to eligibility checks, credit assessments, supported collateral, and individual product conditions.
Nexo’s Australian expansion comes as regulated crypto lending gains momentum in the country. The launch follows Block Earner’s May 2026 milestone as the first crypto firm to secure an Australian Credit Licence from ASIC, reflecting tighter oversight of digital asset lending.
The development also comes as Australian consumers increasingly engage with digital assets and alternative financial products. However, the regulatory status of a lending platform does not eliminate market or collateral risks associated with cryptocurrency borrowing.
