NVIDIA says RTX Spark launches Oct. 16 with global demo events for local AI, creative work and gaming on Windows PCs.

NVIDIA RTX Spark launch begins with global events for Windows PCs

NVIDIA said its RTX Spark Windows PC platform begins launching on Oct. 16, pairing a local-AI and gaming pitch with in-person events in several cities and an online campaign centered on the new device. The company framed the launch as a new beginning for Windows PCs, while its published material and earlier Oct. 13 product notes place the rollout in a broader push around local AI workflows, creator applications and gaming support.

What NVIDIA said is launching

In the Oct. 15 invitation, NVIDIA described RTX Spark as “one PC built for creators, gamers and AI agents” and said launch celebrations would be held around the world. The company’s background material identifies RTX Spark N1X as a Grace CPU–Blackwell RTX GPU platform for Windows 11 laptops and compact desktops. NVIDIA lists two laptop configurations: one with a 6,144-core GPU, a 20-core CPU and up to 128GB LPDDR5X unified memory, and another with a 5,120-core GPU, an 18-core CPU and up to 64GB. The desktop configuration is listed with a 6,144-core GPU, a 20-core CPU, up to 128GB unified memory and a 140W TDP. NVIDIA says these are platform specifications and that OEM implementations may differ.

The company also says the platform includes fourth-generation ray-tracing cores, fifth-generation Tensor Cores, DLSS 5, Reflex 2, native CUDA support and hardware H.264, HEVC and AV1 video processing. NVIDIA advertises up to 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance and local execution of models up to 120 billion parameters with a 1-million-token context; those figures are manufacturer claims rather than independently verified benchmarks.

Launch events and promotion

NVIDIA said Friday’s launch events are scheduled in San Francisco, Berlin, Taipei, Beijing, Istanbul and Seoul, with different entry requirements by city. The San Francisco event at Best Buy’s 1717 Harrison Street location is listed from 10 a.m. to noon local time, with hands-on demos, appearances by iJustine and fireside conversations with local tech founders. Berlin, Taipei and Beijing require registration, while Istanbul is walk-in only and Seoul lists no advance registration. NVIDIA said space is limited and that attendees should follow each venue’s entry instructions.

The company is also tying the launch to its “Share Your Spark” campaign, asking users to describe their first Windows PC and what it inspired, with a chance to win an ASUS ProArt P14 RTX Spark laptop signed by NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang, according to the invitation.

Evidence and context

The Oct. 15 invitation builds on NVIDIA’s earlier Oct. 13 posts, including a software announcement that identified Oct. 16, 2026 as the laptop launch date and a separate note saying the app ecosystem was ready for RTX Spark. NVIDIA also posted that hundreds of top games would be available at launch. The company’s own materials therefore indicate the product is entering the market with software and gaming support lined up, although the invitation does not provide independent sales data or third-party adoption figures.

Review excerpts embedded in the invitation were favorable, but they are promotional quotations selected by NVIDIA rather than independent reporting. The only third-party testing reference named in the material is Artificial Analysis, which NVIDIA cites as providing an early look at local AI performance. No numerical test result is included in the invitation itself.

RTX Spark should not be confused with DGX Spark, NVIDIA’s separate compact AI computer running DGX OS.
