Payouts API, SDK, and Whitelist Management

NOWPayments gives businesses tools for accepting payments, sending payouts, managing funds, and connecting crypto payments to their own products.

This month, several parts of that setup became easier to manage. New guided integrations help developers test the Payouts API and SDK, payout addresses can now be removed from the whitelist directly in the account, and ChangeNOW PRO payouts have a dedicated page on the NOWPayments website.

The main focus is simple: make it easier to set up a payment or payout flow, check that it works, and manage it from the same platform.

What’s New?

The latest releases cover three main areas: developer integrations, payout management, and account usability.

Here is what changed.

New Payouts API Integration

What’s changed:

A new Payouts API integration is now available in the NOWPayments account.

It takes partners through the main steps required to create their first API payout:

  • top up the account
  • get the credentials required to create a payout
  • add an IP address to the whitelist if needed
  • choose between a ChangeNOW PRO payout and an external wallet
  • whitelist the payout address if required
  • create and review the payout

The setup is complete once a payout created through the integration reaches Finished status. If the first test is sent to a crypto address, the partner can also try the ChangeNOW PRO payout option afterward.

The last part of the flow has also been adjusted. After a successful payout, the user now sees the payout card first. From there, Check payout details leads to the backend setup page.

Why it matters:

Creating an API payout involves several steps beyond the payout request itself. Credentials, IP whitelisting, destination addresses, and the payout route all need to be configured correctly. Putting these steps into one flow makes the first test easier to follow and gives developers a clearer point at which the integration is working.

New SDK Integration

What’s changed:

NOWPayments has also added a dedicated SDK integration.

The first stage covers the basic setup. Partners can generate an IPN secret key, add an IPN URL, open the API and SDK documentation, and copy the command needed to install the SDK.

The next screen shows the standard invoice flow together with the equivalent SDK request.

Once the test invoice is created, the final screen displays the invoice details and the response returned by the endpoint. The integration is then marked as complete.

Why it matters:

Developers can now go through the basic SDK setup inside the account instead of relying only on separate documentation. That is especially useful during the first test, when IPN settings, installation, and invoice creation all need to work together.

New ChangeNOW PRO Payouts Page

What’s changed:

ChangeNOW PRO payouts now have a dedicated page on the NOWPayments website.

The page is available from:

Products → Manage Funds → Zero-fee Mass Payouts

It gives businesses a direct place to learn about email-based ChangeNOW PRO payouts and access the product from the main site navigation.

You can also open the Zero-fee Mass Payouts page directly.

The page highlights payouts to an email address with zero service and network fees for eligible transfers, instant delivery, and no need to collect the recipient’s wallet address.

Why it matters:

Partners interested specifically in ChangeNOW PRO payouts no longer need to find the product through broader payout pages.

The dedicated page gives the payout option a clearer place on the website and makes it easier to reach from the Products menu.

Remove Whitelisted Addresses from the Dashboard

What’s changed:

Whitelisted payout addresses can now be removed directly from the NOWPayments account.

For addresses with Whitelisted status, the actions menu now includes a Remove option.

Selecting Remove opens a confirmation window explaining what will happen to the address.

The removal request is confirmed with two-factor authentication. The address then moves to Pending removal while the request is processed.

While the address is pending removal, payouts can still be created to it. Once removal is complete, it no longer appears in the whitelist.

The address can be added again later through the standard whitelist process. The feature is also available for multi-user accounts when the relevant sub-account has permission to edit the whitelist.

For more information about payout workflows, see Mass Crypto Payouts.

Why it matters:

Businesses may need to retire old payout addresses or update their approved destination list as their treasury and payout setup changes. That can now be handled directly from the account.

Payout and Account Improvements

Several smaller changes were also made to everyday payout and account workflows.

The shortcut in the account header that previously opened Mass Payouts now leads to Custody → Withdraw.

IP whitelisting has also been adjusted. If a payout request comes from an IP address that is not yet approved, the account shows an error and provides an Add IP to whitelist option. The current IP address is entered automatically in the form.

The same behavior is available under Whitelist Settings → Whitelist IPs.

Two smaller fixes were included as well:

  • affiliate payouts now correctly show the $50 minimum withdrawal amount
  • the My referrals list now displays referrals that could previously be skipped because of a pagination issue

Why it matters:

These changes deal with small issues that could interrupt a payout or account workflow.

Users now get the relevant IP information and validation messages at the point where they need them, which makes common account tasks easier to complete.

Payment Receipts Now Handle Long Currency Names Better

Long currency tickers could previously display incorrectly in payment receipts.

The receipt layout now lets longer names wrap onto another line, so the currency and transaction information remain readable.

This is a small interface fix, but it helps keep receipts readable when asset or network names do not fit comfortably on one line.

Media About Us Has Been Updated

The Media about us section on the NOWPayments homepage has also been refreshed.

An outdated Cointelegraph article was removed, while newer coverage from Investing.com and Cryptopolitan was added.

The new additions include:

This keeps the homepage media section aligned with more recent NOWPayments coverage.

Benefits of the New Updates

Taken together, this month’s releases make it easier to move from product discovery to a working payment or payout setup.

  • Guided onboarding for the Payouts API.
  • A dedicated SDK integration flow.
  • Clearer access to ChangeNOW PRO payouts.
  • Direct removal of whitelisted payout addresses.
  • Faster IP whitelist configuration.
  • Improved payout validation and account navigation.
  • Better referral and transaction receipt displays.

The common theme is less setup friction. Instead of separating documentation, security configuration, testing, and account management into disconnected tasks, more of the process can now be handled through structured flows inside NOWPayments.

Conclusion

The latest NOWPayments changes focus on practical parts of payment and payout setup.

The Payouts API and SDK now have guided integration flows, whitelist addresses can be removed from the account, and ChangeNOW PRO payouts are easier to find on the website. Smaller fixes to IP whitelisting, payout validation, referrals, and transaction receipts also improve regular account use.

The goal is to make it easier to set up a flow, test it, and manage it once it is running.
