Polygon TRON Integration is the integration of the Polygon Labs Open Money Stack into the TRON network, thus providing financial technology companies, money transfer services, and payment networks with the ability to bridge their bank dollars to the USDT (TRC-20) network of TRON.

The integration connects the payment network of Polygon with the TRON network, which has over $94 billion in USDT in circulation and over $30 trillion in total transfer volume. Companies catering to the needs of such customers have always relied on several service providers for licensing, banking, wallets, and blockchain routing.

Polygon TRON Integration Expands Access to USDT

The Polygon TRON Integration enables businesses to channel dollars into the network via the use of fiat on-ramps that are compatible with the system. Consumers have the ability to pay using bank transfer, debit card, or even cash at any of the retailers that are participating in the ecosystem.

These dollars may then be directed to virtual wallets that contain real balances, where they can later be settled on-chain following certain rules dictated by the business.

USDT transfer through TRON is becoming a popular network for USDT payments and savings purposes. Incorporation of the TRON network would allow businesses that are using Polygon Open Money Stack to add another route for their customers who are on the TRON network.

How the Polygon TRON Integration Works

The partnership integrates three major components of Polygon Open Money Stack with TRON.

Access to regulated dollars: The Polygon Ramps platform will integrate TRON-based projects with fiat on/off ramps supported by Polygon. According to Polygon, its licensing and regulatory framework addresses the money transmitter regulations of 48 states in the United States.

Programmable accounts: Businesses will be able to set up and manage TRON wallets using the same integration as for other networks supported by Polygon.

Cross-chain transfers: A business can make USDT transfers from TRON to other compatible EVM chains such as Polygon with just one flow of the transaction process.

In the case of remittance services, the Polygon TRON integration could provide a way to enable a client to pay in US dollars while receiving USDT directly into their TRON wallet. There would be no need to develop systems separately for fiat, wallet, and blockchain connection.

This is also possible in the opposite direction – to make transfers from TRON and withdraw the funds via a bank account.

Polygon and TRON Target Wider Payment Use Cases

Polygon TRON Integration is not only about remittances but can also be utilized by marketplaces and payment applications to implement various settlement and payment schemes.

For instance, a marketplace can receive USDT payments via the TRON network, keep the money in a programmable wallet, and make payments to sellers through an EVM network or regular bank accounts.

Moreover, payment applications will be able to serve their customers through TRON and EVM blockchains without having to transfer the latter to the preferred blockchain. Businesses would not have to create separate compliance, wallet, and payment solutions for each blockchain network.

The company said that its payment infrastructure has processed over $3 trillion worth of payment volume up to September 21. With the addition of TRON, it will be able to further expand its infrastructure into another stablecoin payment network.

According to Marc Boiron, the CEO of Polygon Labs, the Open Money Stack project will allow payment firms to integrate once and transfer funds through various networks and financial rails.

Speaking about stablecoins, Justin Sun, the CEO of TRON, noted that they have been increasingly utilized as means of payment, money transfer, and treasury operations. In addition, he emphasized that bridging TRON with Polygon Open Money Stack would facilitate the creation of such products by companies.

Polygon Builds Its Payment Stack

Open Money Stack was developed by Polygon via its upcoming acquisition of Coinme and the recent acquisition of Sequence. The union combines fiat on-ramp for the US, wallet services for enterprises, and cross-chain transaction capabilities.

Instead of forcing companies to choose between one blockchain, the technology is designed to link networks, stablecoins, and banking systems that their customers already use.

The Polygon TRON Integration represents the first step in bringing TRON into Open Money Stack. According to Polygon, more assets, markets, and payment features will be coming soon.

The initiative provides companies with an alternative method to transfer their funds from the traditional banking system to the blockchain network.
