Ripple has released its 2025 Ripple Impact Report, outlining how its blockchain technology and digital asset ecosystem supported humanitarian programs, education, financial inclusion, and research across multiple regions.

The report shows the company’s social initiatives reached millions of people during the year while increasing investments in underserved communities.

According to the report, the network made contributions in excess of $70 million during 2025, and the company’s overall philanthropic efforts from 2018 exceed $250 million.

In addition, it is indicated that 80% of employees were involved in volunteer and charitable activities, and the University Blockchain Research Initiative now includes 62 universities across the globe.

President of the network, Monica Long, has said that the company has evolved from experimenting with blockchain technology to implementing its use in the actual world of finance and humanitarian assistance.

Products such as RLUSD and the XRP Ledger have been incorporated into payment networks in order to speed up and improve the process of payments.

Financial Support for Small Businesses and Veterans

The network provided $25 million in RLUSD in order to benefit the underprivileged small businesses in the United States, as well as the veterans and the military spouses who were looking for employment opportunities.

Meanwhile, the Accion Opportunity Fund invested $53.6 million in small businesses. Five years of partnership between Ripple and the Mercy Corps Ventures benefited 14.4 million individuals in Africa and Latin America.

So far, the collaboration has managed to benefit 29 startups, conduct 20 technology pilots, and ensure companies have raised more than $500 million in additional funding.

Additionally, it demonstrated a drought response pilot in Kenya that uses RLUSD, satellite imagery, and smart contracts, reducing transaction time by 95%, saving costs by 64%, and reducing financial strain on 85% of the participants.

Ripple Expands Education and XRPL Adoption

Through its University Blockchain Research Initiative and startup accelerator programs, the network continued its education on blockchains.

The University Digital Asset Xcelerator at Ripple supported nine startups based on the XRP Ledger, and 30% of these were funded further by 13 venture capital firms.

In the meantime, 18 university students developed blockchain applications under the XRPL Student Builder Residency.

The network is planning to make RLUSD and XRP Ledger more prevalent in humanitarian relief, charitable donations, research, financial inclusion, and education by building on programs that have already produced results.
