Launched on August 1, 2020, by its pseudonymous founder “Ryoshi,” Shiba Inu is celebrating six years since its inception.

The Shiba Inu community is celebrating this milestone, marking six years since the launch of the dog-themed cryptocurrency, which has now grown into one of the most recognized tokens in the digital asset space.

Birthday wishes are pouring in for the dog coin from top community members to crypto exchanges. LBank exchange is celebrating Shiba Inu’s sixth anniversary with a $66,666 reward pool. Prizes include SHIB, BTC, ETH, an iPhone 17 Pro, and futures bonuses.

HTX crypto exchange offered birthday wishes as Shiba Inu turns 6, noting that what started as a meme has now become a global movement, powered by the Shiba Inu community, culture, and decentralization.

Shiba Inu has steadily grown in holder count and has now surpassed 1.6 million in a key milestone. 78,977 on-chain holders were added in July, bringing the total to 1,678,192.

Kuro, a long-time Shiba Inu community member, penned birthday wishes for the dog-themed token: “Happy 6th birthday, SHIB. The journey continues.”
