Solana captured 67% of all memecoin trading volume across spot decentralized exchanges on September 7th, nearly three times Robinhood Crypto’s 23% share, according to data from Blockworks. The figures mark a further expansion of Solana’s already dominant position in the memecoin market.

The daily volume breakdown shows Solana consistently accounting for the large majority of activity since mid-June, with its share remaining well above 50% for most of the period. Robinhood’s portion rose into the low-to-mid 20s in recent weeks, while BNB Chain held about 9% and smaller networks such as HyperCore and Ethereum each contributed 1% or less on the latest day.

Overall memecoin volume continues to concentrate heavily on Solana, leaving other chains with minimal combined influence. The latest development underscores that trading activity in this segment remains highly skewed toward a single blockchain despite competing platforms.

Solana’s hold on memecoin trading volume is a long-standing trend, not a recent development. As early as the first quarter of 2024, platforms such as Pump.fun were already generating more daily volume than most Layer 2 networks combined.

The current 67% share across all chains therefore represents the maintenance of an established ceiling, not a sudden breakout into new territory.

Going further, Solana has maintained its lead in x402 activity for the second straight week, surpassing Base and all other blockchains in both transaction counts and trading volume, according to Artemis data as of September 8. The protocol lets AI agents pay for APIs and online services with stablecoins.

Weekly figures show Base holding most of the volume through much of the summer before Solana’s share expanded sharply in late August. By the week ending September 7th, Solana accounted for most of the total activity, which reached about 14 million, while Base and Polygon PoS contributed smaller portions.

The sustained dominance highlights Solana’s growing role in facilitating automated, agent-driven payments across the network. Other chains such as Ripple, Sei Network, BNB Chain, and Avalanche C-Chain registered only marginal activity during the same period.
