SpaceX (NASDAQ: SPCX) stock price dropped by 1.02% on September 1, to close trading to $142 at the time of writing. The drop comes amid a surge in government bond yields that is weakening demand for risk assets.

SpaceX stock is also in the spotlight after the CEO of the company, Elon Musk, called for lighter regulations in the AI industry while speaking at the G20 Tech Summit that took place on September 1.

Musk Advocates For Lighter AI Regulations

While speaking to the EU members who attended the G20 summit, Musk said that their regulations have hindered innovation.

The billionaire urged the EU leaders to create an environment that is not heavily regulated, saying that new technologies should not be seen as illegal by default because that slows down progress considerably.

“In the EU, for example, we find that the regulation level is extraordinarily high, and things are generally default illegal, and this inhibits progress with new technologies,” Musk said.

SpaceX has emerged as one of the biggest AI stocks alongside Nvidia and Micron. While reporting its Q2 2026 earnings in August, SpaceX revealed that the revenue from its xAI segment increased by 247% year-over-year to $2.6 billion.

Morgan Stanley also recently reiterated a $300 target for the SpaceX stock because of the acquisition of Cursor AI. The investment bank also said that Cursor will likely improve Grok’s capabilities and attract more subscriptions and revenue.

Hence, if the G20 leaders move towards easing AI regulations, it could drive more revenue towards the SpaceX stock price.

SPCX Braces For 3 Stock Unlocks in September

The SpaceX stock heads for more unlocks in September. These unlocks started on August 6 when 911.5 million SpaceX shares became available for selling for the first time, before another 319 million shares were released on August 20.

On September 9, another 319 million shares will also become available for sale. Another 59 million shares and 328 million shares will become available for the first time on September 10 and September 24.

The two unlocks that occurred in August did not pull the price down because the early insiders and institutions that hold these unlocked shares did not sell them.

SpaceX Stock Price Prediction as Uptrend Holds

SpaceX stock remains within a rising parallel channel despite the drop seen on September 1. The rise within this channel suggests that the momentum is favoring bulls, and the SpaceX stock price could move higher if the buying pressure increases.

SPCX stock is now testing the resistance at the midline of this channel at $143. If the price moves above the resistance at this midline, the stock could reach $148.

The RSI reading of 57 also supports a bullish outlook for the SpaceX stock price. The AO bars that have turned green also suggest that the uptrend is becoming strong.

However, if the ongoing bond sell-off causes people to move away from risk assets and the SpaceX stock price fails to close above $143, it could retest the support at $135.
