Stellar [XLM] crypto price prediction 2030: What would it take to reach $1?

Stellar [XLM] traded near $0.17 on July 28 after extending its weekly decline to around 6%, leaving the token well below key long-term resistance levels.

A move to $1 by 2030 would require a roughly 483% gain from current prices. While Stellar continues to expand its role in tokenization and cross-border payments, stronger network demand and sustained buying pressure would be needed for XLM to reach that milestone.

Institutional adoption continues to build

Stellar’s long-term investment case continues to center on institutional adoption.

In May, the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation [DTCC] and the Stellar Development Foundation [SDF] announced plans to connect DTCC’s tokenization platform to the Stellar network during the first half of 2027.

The initiative is expected to explore tokenized US Treasury securities, exchange-traded funds and Russell 1000 equities. However, the integration remains under development, and no tokenized DTCC assets are currently live on Stellar.

SDF also expanded its partnership with the United Nations Development Programme [UNDP in July. The collaboration includes digital payment pilots across five countries and research programmes spanning 17 markets.

These initiatives could strengthen activity across the Stellar ecosystem over the coming years. However, much of that activity could also rely on stablecoins or tokenized assets without necessarily creating equivalent demand for XLM itself.

Technical outlook remains weak

From a technical perspective, XLM still faces significant hurdles.

The token traded between $0.1696 and $0.1831 this week and remained below its 50-, 100-, and 200-week exponential moving averages, which range from $0.2087 to $0.2227.

With price trading beneath all three long-term averages, the broader trend continues to favour sellers despite occasional rallies.

The $0.17 level now represents the nearest support. A break below it could expose $0.15, followed by the 2026 low near $0.14.

On the upside, buyers would first need to reclaim the $0.18-$0.19 area before challenging the long-term resistance cluster around $0.21-$0.22. A sustained move above $0.30 would provide stronger evidence that the broader trend is beginning to improve.

Can XLM reach $1 by 2030?

At a $1 XLM price, Stellar would have a market capitalization of roughly $34.2 billion based on its current circulating supply.

If every available token entered circulation, the fully diluted valuation would approach $50 billion.

Those figures are achievable in a stronger crypto market, but they would require much broader adoption than Stellar has today. Institutional partnerships alone are unlikely to drive that move unless they translate into higher network activity and sustained demand for XLM.

Until then, investors are likely to focus on whether Stellar’s growing tokenization and payments ecosystem can generate enough economic activity to support the token itself.

Final Summary

  • Stellar continues to expand its institutional partnerships, but those initiatives have yet to translate into sustained demand for XLM.
  • Reclaiming $0.21-$0.22 would improve the long-term technical outlook, while reaching $1 by 2030 would require significantly stronger adoption and a market capitalization above $34 billion.
