TL;DR
- Corporate Participation: Strategy joins Coinbase and Circle in backing Trump Accounts, pledging matching and annual contributions for employees’ children.
- Program Structure: Trump Accounts provide a $1,000 Treasury-funded seed and invest in mutual funds or ETFs tied to U.S. equities.
- Strategic Alignment: Strategy’s support follows prior donations to Trump-aligned groups, reinforcing its role in promoting early financial education.
Strategy has aligned with Coinbase, Circle, and major Wall Street institutions in backing President Donald Trump’s Trump Accounts program, a national initiative aimed at helping children begin investing early. The company confirmed it will participate once the U.S. Treasury finalizes guidance and activates the infrastructure for employer contributions.
Corporate Support Expands for Trump’s Youth Investment Program
Strategy said it will match the U.S. government’s one-time $1,000 seed contribution for eligible children born between 2025 and 2028. In addition, the company plans to contribute $250 annually to Trump Accounts for every eligible child under 18 of its U.S. employees, regardless of birth year. Coinbase and Circle have also pledged support, continuing a pattern of crypto industry alignment with Trump’s financial education agenda.
This move follows earlier political engagement from Strategy. When the company operated under the MicroStrategy name, it donated $1 million to the Trump-aligned MAGA Inc. super PAC in January 2025. Coinbase and Circle similarly donated $1 million each to Trump’s inaugural fund, according to Public Citizen.

Trump Accounts Aim to Build Long-Term Financial Habits
Trump Accounts are structured as a new type of IRA for children, designed to promote long-term saving and investing. The Internal Revenue Service said the accounts will invest in mutual funds or ETFs tracking the S&P 500 or similar indexes of U.S. equities. The program is part of the broader Invest America initiative, which seeks to strengthen financial literacy and encourage early participation in markets.
Strategy CEO Phong Le said the initiative could help build a stronger financial future for young Americans. He noted that Trump Accounts may encourage financial education, long-term thinking, and a culture of saving and investing from an early age.
With its pledge, Strategy joins a widening coalition of financial and crypto firms supporting Trump’s investment-focused programs. The company’s participation underscores its ongoing alignment with Trump’s economic agenda and its commitment to promoting early financial engagement among families across the country.
