Strategy may be preparing to resume Bitcoin purchases after a two-month pause. Michael Saylor shared the company’s holdings tracker on X with the words “We’re ₿ack.” No filing or company statement has yet confirmed a new acquisition.

The company last reported a Bitcoin purchase on June 22, 2026. That transaction ended a period of regular weekly acquisitions. The company then stayed out of the market for about two months.

Why Markets Expect Strategy to Buy Bitcoin Again

The tracker was released by Saylor on Sunday. Previous Sunday updates from him had often been made prior to company making any new Bitcoin buy.

In this instance, there has been no disclosure regarding the amount, price, or date of the transaction. Participants are now awaiting the next SEC filing made by the company.

The prediction market participants at Polymarket have raised their expectations of the occurrence of the announcement. The prediction market implied a 93% probability that Strategy would make a purchase of Bitcoin during the period of August 25 and August 31.

There had been a probability of about 18% prior to the release of the post by Saylor.

However, company holds $6.69 billion in cash reserves divided into two pools. The first pool holds $5.10 billion. The corporation has established this reserve mainly for paying off debts, interests, and dividends on preferred stocks.

Moreover, this reserve serves the $100 face value of STRC preferred stocks. Therefore, it is associated mostly with present liabilities. The other pool holds $1.59 billion.

Bitcoin Trades Above Strategy’s Average Cost

The current price for Bitcoin sits around $79,000 when Saylor revealed the corporate tracker. With such prices, the value of Strategy’s holdings amounts to approximately $66.2 billion.

In turn, it cost the company about $63.36 billion to get its hands on these coins. Hence, it had an unrealized profit of around $2.8 billion.

The price of Bitcoin was above the average cost of purchase for Strategy. Nonetheless, the profit is unrealized yet and depends on the value of Bitcoin.

However, the short-term structure of Bitcoin is unrelated to the upcoming news event. As analyst Ted explained, the relative strength index on the four-hour chart indicated a weakness in the momentum.

Anlalyst said that the buyers still were in charge. He highlighted $83,000 as the price target. An extended period above that level will validate his contention that Bitcoin has made a bottom. Nevertheless, it will take an official filing by Strategy to confirm if the firm is buying again.
