Tether is expanding its investments in artificial intelligence and financial infrastructure through strategic backing for AIsa and EFY Finance. AIsa enables AI agents to access and pay for digital services through a single platform, while EFY Finance connects stablecoins with traditional financial systems across Latin America. Both investments focus on improving access to digital services and financial tools, extending stablecoin utility into automated payments and cross-border transactions.
Tether AIsa Investment Targets AI Agent Payments
Tether Capital announced a strategic investment in AIsa, a platform that enables AI agents to access and pay for data, software, APIs, AI models, and computing resources through a single interface.
As AI agents take on more tasks, accessing paid services often requires separate accounts, subscriptions, or contracts. These arrangements can force people to manage individual services before agents can complete their work.

AIsa aims to simplify the process by combining service access and payments. Developers can connect agents to multiple resources, while businesses can pay in fiat currencies or stablecoins and establish spending limits.
“We want people to have access to knowledge and financial tools, and the freedom to decide how they use them,” said Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether. “As AI agents take on more work, people need a way to give them access to services while keeping control over what they spend. AIsa is building that infrastructure, and we see an opportunity to make these capabilities useful to a much wider group of people and businesses.”
As per the report, AIsa offers support for more than 250,000 agents and processes more than 100 million transactions. The network has more than 5,000 APIs, skills, and models accessible by one key. This helps users in paying for the services based on their requirements.

The organization has over 25,000 active individual and corporate customers and is licensed as a Digital Asset Service Provider in El Salvador.
The main purpose of Tether’s investment is to enhance the relationship between stablecoins, banks, corporations, and institutions. EFY Finance is currently operating in Bolivia, Colombia, Mexico, El Salvador, Panama, and Ecuador, which is the first step towards expansion.
Latin America’s Stablecoin Demand Supports Growth
Based on the data provided by Chainalysis in the press release, the transaction volume in Latin America amounted to approximately $1.5 trillion of cryptocurrency transactions from July 2022 to June 2025. Stablecoin purchases constitute over 50% of all exchange purchases, as per the press release.
High levels of inflation, volatility of the national currencies, and capital restrictions in some countries have led to the need for stablecoins.
EFY Finance seeks to increase the usability of these assets through linking up digital dollar currencies to bank accounts, local payment rails, cards, and cross-border payment solutions. The company’s technological system is built to assist businesses in transferring funds and using financial services.
Tether Extends Its AI and Financial Infrastructure Strategy
The involvement of Tether with AIsa comes after the same company invested in NEURA Robotics, where it was expected to incorporate both the Wallet Development Kit (WDK) and QVAC technologies into the robot.
WDK helps developers create self-custodial wallets, whereas QVAC helps users process AI on their own devices. This allows for developing systems that can execute AI on local devices and carry out transactions within certain parameters.
AIsa applies this principle for AI agents when buying digital services, whereas EFY Finance aims at linking stablecoins with conventional finance systems. Both the projects comply with the goal of Tether in terms of providing more technological and financial solutions.
